...I think the PlayStation team @ IGN (namely Greg & Colin) are quite positive about Sony's future.

Yeah I mean I would like to see a return to some of Sony's old IPs, the ones that weren't sold off

. Whilst the PS3 has a great catalogue of games there was something special about the PS1 and PS2 in comparison. Maybe it's just nostalgia talking

I see where this guy is coming from but the sensationalist RIP Sony headline is probably why it's gained traction in the first place

Maybe so, but I think it's a fair criticism that Sony and Nintendo have had some stumblings. The Vita is being a slow mover for Sony and the WiiU is not having the best of times right now. There's plenty of time to get it right, so I wouldn't label them as failures, though.

But, wheeling back to the PS4. I would honestly say that so far what we have seen from Sony with the PS4 is that they have listened and become proactive with the issues the PS3 had. I am looking forward to a much better generation for gamers this time around.
