I think the hype here is more than it was at the 2005 E3! Hopefully Sony will severely deliver tonight as well!

I know a lot of people in Gamespot's System Wars are considering changing "factions" over what could be announced today. IGN's boards are hyped to the moon. 1UP is in a state of pandemonium. NeoGAF is abuzz bigtime as well. This is going to be the SuperBowl of gaming for 2013. Everyone knows more or less what to expect from MS (be it for better or worse, it just doesn't seem to be a big variable even if you are on their side of the fence) and Nintendo has seemingly leaned too much on their novelty gaining the same kind of attraction that their previous console did.
Make no mistake about it, all eyes are on Sony. The PS4 could be just the kind of home run the company needs to turn their fate around. For the sake of gaming, I hope they make the right choices.Thoroughly enjoying my PS+ membership.

Sony have played this like a violin. Release a short video, let the internet whip itself up into an absolute frenzy. Biggest hype train ever? They could announce that every PS4 ships with a jetpack and it wouldn't live up to the hype.
I'm kinda less pumped now than a few days ago. After seeing the controller pics and the rumours of subscription.... meh. Do not fuck this up
