So, this would go out to the more tech savvy amongst us, but would the following rigging technique be capable on next-gen hardware in real time? based entirely off of the current best guesstimate of what the next gen hardware will be packing....
because i must say, i HATE clipping! and all the points he drew to the current rigging technique are all the things that are becoming ever more prevalent as games get more complex...

truth be told, this is something i think games need. it delivers much better results than whatever they are currently doing. i assumed clipping and the like would've been eliminated with this gen, cross fingers for next

That kind of things might be possible, we certainly will be seeing a lot better rigging and secondary animation than we currently have.
I kind of doubt that we will see something like WETA currently has, but we will get there..
