Rumor: Prey 2 countdown site launched - 'Alien Noire'

A new countdown site called “Alien Noire” surfaced online today. On it, a timer set to end in 27 days. But what’s it for?

Taking a look into the site’s source code reveals the following tags: “Prey, Prey2, Prey 2, FPS, Bethesda Softworks, Human Head Studios, Alien Noire.” The bottom of the page’s source code also says, “Tommy needs your help.”

It would look like the site is counting down to new information on Prey 2, Bethesda’s often delayed, but highly awaited sequel. Looking at the domain’s registration information, however, cannot confirm this. It is registered to “The Collective,” which resides at 17677 S. Muskogee Ave in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

“The Collective” could be a reference to Prey 2 character Dra’Gar, an Ceros mafia gang leader with teleportation abilities.

But unfortunately, we couldn't find out how the address relates to Prey or Bethesda. Thus, we cannot confirm if Bethesda owns the domain. We’ll contact the publisher for comment.

I don't know about this. The game hasn't been cancelled but, back in August, Bethesda did say they would wait to talk about it.

Oh, the source has changed. All mention of Bethesda and Prey2 has disappeared. Another instance of "we didn't think people would look there?"

"Tommy needs your help." is still there though.

Supposedly, the game could also release this year.

Been looking forward to a Prey 2 since I heard about it.

Prey is a good game on PC, its mostly xbox players that say it sucks.

You might still be able to buy it on PC, even second hand is worth it (multiplayer is dead) and you can register retail keys to steam.

I've been hooping this game would have some light shed on it. Also been crossing my fingers that it hadn't been cancelled. It is one of my most anticipated games of the year. Hopefully this is true. I loved the first game.
