Norovirus (NSF squeemish people)

dear fucking god.

9 hours of puking/shitting 3-4 times an hour. shivering, high temps, cramps, aches and a banging headache. coming out the other side of it now, but i'm still walking like an extra in a western. one of the least funny things i have ever experienced. i was drinking water to prevent dehydration, but it was coming up so fast 20 minutes later that i couldn't breathe between vomiting. i'm going to assume it gave me a slight insight into being water boarded. literally felt like i was drowning backwards.

in case anyone has it/gets it soon - flat coke is awesome, as is lucozade.

i wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!

its basically just like food poisoning, but you can catch it. known as the 'winter vomiting bug' afaik. all over the UK at the moment. mainly because selfish cunts don't keep themselves indoors/let people know (eg my housemate

It's highly contageous, too. Every year there are stories of Norovirus infection spreading throughout cruise ships, infecting hundreds. I can't imagine any worse of a situation, either.

Having constant shits and vomiting while on a tight-quartered cruise ship, with the rocking of the ocean waves...
...or being on a tight-quartered cruise ship with hundreds of people shitting and puking everywhere.

yeah, the lovely thing is that's one of the main ways it spreads - it vapourises when you are sick/shit and gets on surfaces, or when you flush the toilet. fucking lovely.....
