Interesting tidbit:
"Xbox360 GPU has 1.5x shader power" Wii U has 1.5x shader power than 360 GPU (I suck at reading)

The GPU seems quite a bit weaker than the rumored GPU's in the next Xbox and Playstation. Unfortunately this will probably once again lead to Nintendo having to support their console with mostly first party games..

8 ROPS and 550Mhz compared to the rumor 32 ROPS and 800Mhz on the PS4.

It also means that we wont be seeing any 1080p graphic intensive games on Wii U

I wonder what the hell did nintendo spend all their budget on? The gamepad costs them THAT much?

think you may have misread it bud, it says that the wiiU's gpu has 1.5x the shader power.

The article states that the Wii U has 1.5x the shader power of the Xbox360, not the other way around!

However, the 16 TMUs at 550MHz and texture cache improvements found in RV770 do elevate the capabilities of this hardware beyond the Xenos GPU in the Xbox 360 - 1.5 times the raw shader power sounds about right.

The DF article makes it sound like it's Wii -> ps360 all over again :S. And with the lack of 3rd party titles penned for release this year it may just be a repeat of last gen (in terms of software)

I think Nintendo fucked up with the Wii U. It's going to become another 1st party mario universe console. I'm sure there will still be some current gen releases for another year or so but I think it's inevitable. Time will tell.

If PS3 and xbox are coming out this year I would expect a price drop or great bundle to be offer I know costco was selling the deluxe for 300 and 250 for basic. Not a bad deal

I'm cool with that. Especially with two little ones coming, I'm going to be gaming even less lol. I had only the Wii until last January and it was more than enough for me with how little I played games. The stream of 1st party titles was good, and there were quite a few 3rd party gems littered in there. In fact, I didn't even get all the third party games I wanted from the Wii lol
