Getting His Own Movie, Yoda Is?

Ever since Disney bought "Star Wars" and announced they would be putting out stand alone spinoffs in addition to continuing the main storyline, folks have been speculating just what those new films will be about. The origin of Salacious Crumb? The story of the Millennium Falcon making the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs? Jar Jar Binks: The Untold Story?

All great ideas. But now, according to Ain't It Cool News, the real answer has been revealed — and the first "Star Wars" spinoff will actually be about Yoda.

"To start with, they're going to focus on established characters and do solo films," AICN's Harry Knowles said about Disney's plans to expand their "Star Wars" empire. "The first Stand Alone film is going to center upon Yoda. At this stage specifics are sparse, but Kathleen Kennedy is putting together a 'Star Wars' slate."

About the next trilogy, how would they continue it? I see Luke starting a new Jedi order, which wouldn't be so bad if it's done right.

I don't care for Yoda much either. He was never my favourite character. A Han Solo movie would be really cool but a Boba Fett one is a dream come true for me. And you wouldn't have to worry about finding an actor for Boba Fett since he's in his suit almost 24/7. I bet it would be called something simple and clever like "Fett.". But yeah, this is a cash grab for sure. Now that Lucas can't say no after selling to Disney, they can do whatever they please. I had a feeling it would be more than just a continuation of the first trilogy.

Awesome definitely looking forward to the Boba Fett movie , always been a fan of his.

I might pass on the Han Solo movie however.

Stuart Freeborn, Yoda's maker, dies

Stuart Freeborn, the British pioneering movie makeup artist behind creatures such as Yoda and Chewbacca in the Star Wars films, has died. He was 98

LucasFilm confirmed Wednesday that Freeborn had died, "leaving a legacy of unforgettable contributions".
Star Wars director George Lucas said in a statement that Freeborn was "already a makeup legend" when he started working on the space epic.
