3 theories right now

1: committed suicide, they heard 1 single shot then a few minutes later the ammo he had is going off ( what the cops believe)

2: alive but in the basement in the cabin

3: escaped... and something about being horseback?, the latter is probably untrue.

Some say they heard the cops on the radio scanner say to burn him alive and lets burn him out/purposely put the building on fire/get the gasoline.

Nothing official until the flames are put out and the cabin is searched. Hopefully they didn't burn hostages with him (presence of hostages was never confirmed).

It was a half joke because the department has demonstrated unlawful use of force and poor judgement in the past week. They've opened fire on three civilians, luckily only wounding them.

Thus setting a cabin on fire isn't that surprising.

Got cnn live on now....

They haven't confirmed but last report he was in the cabin and was wounded could take weeks to confirm his identity so this may not be over....they could have the wrong guy...

Last I saw was that he was holed up in Big Bear and they had him surrounded in a cabin. Don't know much more than that. Haven't checked the status of it.

nah they haven't confirmed anything yet, but the LAPD "isn't" doing the investigation, they're leaving it to the San Bernardinos Police Dept. If I remember correctly they'll have something around 8am our time.(pacific)

I hope they found an innocent's body instead and that he's still at large. It would go a long way to proving his case for him about the level of corruption within the LAPD. What we need is martyrs.
