I wouldn't hold my breath. This is a normal progression of things. Nintendo can't ever win back the user base it lost to Sony. Sony can't ever win back their user base that they lost to MS.
Of course, people will buy multiple consoles and that's what it will mostly come down to.
All of these consoles have carved a niche and will likely retain a good number of user base until they stop doing what these people like them for.

True. I know it's not realistic to win every one of them back, but they can win some back. It all comes down to the games. It's amazing with all of Sony's early frick ups with the PS3 that they're as close, in terms of sales, as they are with the 360. That lets you know there's still a big fanbase out there.
As long as they do well enough financially to have a PS5, PS6 etc. I'll be happy.

As someone else mentioned, I think it makes sense that it would be cm, not inches.
Honestly I think Sony has the most experience in the gaming business and I'm saying this even though Nintendo has been in the business much longer. Sony knows what people want and while they screwed up with the PS3 price point and the hardware, they still delivered the games, for the most part...better than the others.
Sony may drop out of its other product lines but the gaming division might be the only thing left that they will probably continue to do well. I don't even know what else they make money on anymore lol.

Not to mention selling bd drives to m-soft, lol.

I agree. They just had that one screw up, and that's all it takes sometimes, with the PS3 that hurt them. Price point for the PS4 and games early on in its life cycle will be key. I think they've pretty much learned from the mistakes with the PS3 that they won't screw that up with the PS4.
They're already announcing first, so they got that going for them. And from the rumors we've heard, the console is easy to develop for too.
I'm ready

That would definitely explain why they code-named it Orbis. It's very elliptical. I think it looks cool, but I'd like to know how I can lay it flat. I never stand up my consoles.
