The DME's are specifically designed for the GPU.

Do i have to quote the DF again? Pity you cant read well. So I quote again.
However, the main takeaway here is that core elements of the Move Engine functionality are apparently designed to extract the best performance from a RAM set-up that is much more complex (and slower) than its Orbis equivalent. Elsewhere, most of the custom hardware works to ease the CPU burden, not to improve GPU performance, so those hoping for 'secret sauce' to overcome Orbis's theoretical graphics advantages are probably going to be disappointed.

Look read the article over if you have to. It says that the "special sauce" DME, will not do much for Durango. Orbis seems to be superior. Unless ofc, MS decide to change things up, but as DF says its practically impossible at this point due to manufacturing process. Even though i am in different field, i can vouch for this. The program i am working for is taking 5 years at minimum to go into full production.

Long story short. Special sauce is weak sauce.

Lets try this for you again...

    Talking about move engines.
However, the main takeaway here is that core elements of the Move Engine functionality are apparently designed to extract the best performance from a RAM set-up that is much more complex (and slower) than its Orbis equivalent.
Which we wall knew. Again, its zero stall GPU solution.
They don't even go in to, becuase frankly they don't understand it, nor do they clearly understand Directx.
The article looses a lot of credibility when they bleat on about DX. Like ->Setvetexshaderconstant hasn't been in Directx 8.

    Meanwhile, completely unrelated...
Elsewhere, most of the custom hardware works to ease the CPU burden, not to improve GPU performance, so those hoping for 'secret sauce' to overcome Orbis's theoretical graphics advantages are probably going to be disappointed.
    Not hard really?

I have no idea how weak, the DME's or strong the are going to be, but then we aren't even talking about 2.5d or 3d stacking are we? Because that's something that we don't discuss....

DF is the one without credibility you said. LoL. And this "I don't know how strong or weak this is" argument has more credibility. It seems like you just do not know.

As DF said, this special sauce debate does not help next box. Using same logic what if Orbis has special sauce? And even more powerful than we anticated?

People's bias really shows when they assume their fav console has this special sauce and not other one. To me this special sauce debate is very silly. One console has superior tech. Just get over it.

If current leaks turn out to be true...people are just going to have accept a 6th gen type situation. Back then, Xbox was more powerful and PS2. Not just by a few pixels, it was a noticeable difference...This time in Sony's favor.

The lack credibility when talking and discussing Directx, especially seeing as there supposed source for that one appears to be the article from the guy we had on here a few weeks ago, who admitted he didn't know anything.

Anyone who knows anything about Directx know how close to the metal you can get.
As DF said, this special sauce debate does not help next box. Using same logic what if Orbis has special sauce? And even more powerful than we anticipated?
Again, they dont know. They dont have a clue, they are "guessing".
But you know a zero stall GPU is I guess not a good idea?

Who says anything about Orbis not having some, I hear it does.
You just seem quick to discount, vs count.
Will DME's/ESRAM make a significant enough difference, probably not.

Will 2.5d and 3d stacking? Hmmmmm.
    What is IBM up to?

Meh. Regardless of how things turn out, I still think the advancement from this generation to next gen is more like tripping on old computer cables rather than a leap of any sort whether it be big, average or small. I still want to see some real time game play. As things stand now, I'm gearing up to go back to PC gaming.

I've already changed my sig to adjust to this very thing lol
No thank you. I'll be gaming DRM free on a stronger console for $100 cheaper instead

Sony trolled MS. PS4 fans didn't do it. We just laughed at MS and anyone getting mad. $399 FTW!

People talk about it. It's just that it's not in these dev kits from these recent rumors. Therefore it slips thru the cracks because people doubt it will be ready in time.

I find the 'multiple games runing simulataneously' interesting but I probably wont use that feature. I don't like to divert my attention to something else once I'm doing something

Eh, not really sure how anyone else feels about this, but to me, the conclusion is pretty clear. Whatever it is that MS is running besides games on their new system, it has them excited enough to spend resources on it instead of making a more straight-forward machine. I'm not entirely sure what people's expectations are for a machine that is running DDR3 in this day and age, but keeping up in any meaningful way with PC development really isn't one of them. Whatever they are throwing this heap of RAM at, it's not going to have the kind of deep bandwidth needed for games in an evolutionary sense. The ONLY thing I can possibly pull out of a hat is AMD's Cinema 2.0 voxel raytracing/raster.. But the concept of running that off of GDDR3 seems preposterous.

Of course, this shouldn't be necessarily painted as doom and gloom either. Obviously, just the fact that it is using a DX11 era gpu in the first place is no small step forward from the 360. It's just that this isn't a system designed to go toe to toe with the Sony machine in, oh let's just say, five years down the road. How you take that statement, is entirely up to you. This is not going to be a powerhouse vs powerhouse generation. Microsoft has some other intentions with their console. What that is, I do not have the knowledge to give any meaningful speculation on.
