Im keeping my PS3. I still have a lot of great games that im going to want to play now and again for the system. However, when the PS4 drops whatever it may be, i have a feeling a lot of those games that are multiplatform, or that i just wont play anymore (kept to a bare minimum of course, im proud of my 70 game collection), will likely be traded in towards credit for the new console or games and peripherals.

Keeping it! No way I would get rid of that system, even if it is last gen it still has many uses!

Keping it. I have to many games and there is no guarantee next gen will backwards compatible or for how long. If anything it is another blu-ray player in my house.

Keeping it even if PS4 has full backwards compatability.
I do wonder if the DS3 will work with the next system though

I'll probably sell mine. I haven't touched a ps2 since the day I got a ps3.
itll likely be the same way once the ps4 comes out.

I did the same thing with the PS3, i got rid of my PS2 and all my games and peripherals ecept for Final Fantasy 12, and i kinda regretted it for about a year because there were so many games i wanted to go back and play. Not doing that again next gen. Ive got about 70 PS3 games, and when the PS4 drops, only the games i know i will never play again will be traded in, so i might get like, 40 dollars worth of trade in credit for them. all 7 of them im willing to give up. ill have to play the Dead Space games though, as i still have never played any of them, and Dead Space 1 is still in the plastic wrap.

I'm keeping it cuz it's not like I would get much for selling it if the PS4 gets announced; and I have a day 1 BC PS3 so that's one more reason to keep it.
I'm sure PS4 won't be BC; it was one of the things Sony considered a mistake with the launch PS3, that's why they dropped it later on.Thou shall not question my lame sig

I have a mint condition 80gb b/c PS3, so I will be keeping mine.

I'm not sure. If the ps4 plays ps3 titles then I'll sell mine. There's probably less than 10 titles I will maybe want to go back and play. Killzone 1-3, Infamous 1 & 2, The Last of Us, God Father 2(i love this game). I have a feeling ND will make the next uncharted so good that I won't want to go back and play Uncharted 1-3.

Since I have a PS3 with full B/C, I am keeping this thing probably until the end of time. (Launch Day 60GB)

Keeping it. No certainty what will be backwards compatible, plus I have a pretty big digital library. Would rather just hook the ps3 up instead of downloading of bunch of those.

Hmmm...I have 3 PS3's currently. Well 4 actually, but 3 in my house. I guess I'd retire two and keep them for backups for when my kids PS3 breaks. Dunno about selling them.

I'll propably just sell off or trade my 360 and its games towards PS4 and put my PS3 in the bedroom as a bluray player hooked up to an older 32 inch Sony Bravia that I still have.

My ps3 isn't a girl. I can't just leave it after I've had my fun with it or something sexier comes on the market. So mine shall stay with me.

Keeping mine for sure. 1. because it's a 60GB OG that's backwards compatible. And 2. because I collect consoles.
