The game may not get released at all on other platforms. The Activision Bungie Microsoft agreement stes that MS has first rightbof refusal on all Bungie games and competing platforms clauses.

I don't see that anywhere in the Acti/Bungie agreement, only see Bungie as the licensor.

Far as I can tell it says the Bungie will develop for the 360 first and the see if development parity is possible on PS3...and if it is they have to make it.

I wouldn't count on that with development costs being what they are. Plus historically MS has always made their 3rd party "exclusives" timed. Thats why all those ips they had in the beginning of this gen are all on PS3 now.

I think MS retained some sort of minority stake in Bungie in that whole deal somewhere. They will probably still remain close to MS.They are just basically like LLC privately owned now. Which is actually a good thing for both.

I still dont see it staying exclusive. High development costs will keep Bungie from walking away from the money on the table that going multiplatform will provide.

It probably won't but being they are privately owned but it put everyone in a better position to profit.

Going multiplatform will put everyone in a better position to profit. Thats why you dont really see 3rd party exclusives anymore.

I guess it all depends on how the game does on xbox whatever first. If it doesn't do well then there could be less of a chance of seeing it on another platform. It all depends if the publisher wants to take that risk.

I think it will be multiplatform for the reasons I already stated. If MS wants it exclusive they will need to shell out some serious money. Time will tell I guess.

I'm not worried about it despite going PS4 only because lots of good exclusives to play is one thing I dont have to be concerned about with Sony.

Yup..same here. I get plenty of great exclusives on both consoles. But I am greedy....and I would be jealous of others playing exclusives that I can't. I HAZ to keep up wif da Jonezesz

I just went by the bungie site and they now have where you can use your psn id to log in. It'd be weird to do that if this title is still timed exclusive. I guess we'll find out for sure in a few more days.

I don't think MS will do that because they already have a 10year contract with Activision. They are in the best position to succeed right now IMO. That move would probably only hurt their relationship.

MS has first right right to the first game as an exclusive then after that its multiplat timed exclusive. If that happens the Destiny game would show up on ps3/ps4 in 2016. Lets see how all this plays out.

Which is why it will be multiplatform. MS wont throw money at them for a permanent exclusive and development costs are just too high to leave money on the table. MS actually should do it because they really need some exclusives.

I get what you're saying...but what I'm trying to tell you is that it isn't MS's *choice* whether it goes to PS or not, it's Bungie/Acti's choice. Yes 360 will get the first game guaranteed as a timed exclusive. *Maybe* permanently *IF* Bungie/Acti decide to not release on PS.

Or in a nutshell...My point is that MS doesn't get to say "No you can't put that on PS3".
