Promotion of Sir_Scud as Community Reviews/Content Section Boss!

Hello guys,

PSU is like a big sandbox, an awesome place where ideas for new forms community interaction can be conjured up, manifested and nurtured into something special. When I decided to build the CR section, I just wanted a place where members could express their love of games in another form than just chatting. The idea kind of fell in-line with PSU's wish to include the community in the front-page of the site and was a great stepping stone to really advance this initiative. However, the CR section as it stands now is just the beginning and when I moved onto the creation of PSU's DUST 514 culture, I simply didn't have time or focus to further develop the CR section and give the writers of PSU the writing culture they deserved, so I knew that it had to be handed over.

Sir_Scud is the man for the job! I am handing the CR section over to him fully, to run, to grow and to change as he sees fit. He is part of the site's content team now and will be working with the executive editor, Adam, to advance this unique aspect of our site. He is now 100% the go-to person for any questions or ideas. As the first ever community reviewer to submit a review, and with a current count of 7, I think the he is a good fit for the role.

I will be keeping a fond and caring eye on the place from my commander's office over in the dust, will offer my assistance and advice when needed and will make sure I advance from a single cell organism!, But from this post on, Sir_Scud takes the helm. Kick ass guys!

Thanks guys! So I imagine everyone is wondering what's going to happen next? What will change? As of right now I'm learning the ropes so to speak, and we currently are in a transitional process. I urge everyone to keep writing community reviews! No matter what changes, each and every one of you has a chance to have your work featured on PSU! Not to mention it could be a review you wrote a month ago to a review you wrote today. Even if it is decided to change the way reviews are done, all current, and reviews up until those changes will count/be eligible to be front page.

For now things will be the same, but in the near future expect threads in this section discussing the current review system, ways to improve, what to change, etc. I will not be making arbitrary changes to the section, and I want this section of the forum to feel like it's part of the community. I will be looking at the input of each and every member on ways to further augment the section and better the review process itself.

I'd like to thank DV, Lethal, and D for staying on and indexing. Trust me when I say there's some fucking awesome stuff on the horizon for this area of the forums. The reviews themselves are only half the equation. Let me say that PSU really wants to hear what you have to say. I'll have more to say on that in the coming weeks.

I urge you all to continue making reviews, which includes myself. Now keep in mind this is still a BETA. I will definitely want the input of all current writers and anyone who might have in interest in writing a community review.

I'm really excited in seeing this section move forward, especially right before a whole new console generation. I'd like to thank Ghost for giving me the chance! If you have any questions, post them in the feedback/discussion thread.

You're welcome pal, I'm just passing the opportunity forward, as it was to me ca. 9 months ago. I have contacted Cuguy and asked if it is possible for you to get editing permission in this CR section so that you can change the OPs of the main threads, just waiting to hear back...then you will be able to tweak and update as you wish.
