Have you already forgotten about Krazy Ken? How Sony released the PS3 at an exorbitant price? A supposedly great CPU that still manages to under perform a majority of XBox360 games? Anyone not following internet game sites may not realize a new console is about to be released, and how could they with that trailer/teaser? Sony should just announce that they are going to unveil the PS4.

The thing I dislike about mudslinging ads like these is that the company worry too much about "destroying" the other than to show off their own product. KB ads did a good job with the "it only does everything" but it was a little late IMO and well... How many people are aware of all the goodies Vita offers?

Thankyou for linking that. I read it and its pretty much a theory based on alot of speculation and conjecture on your part however it is logical conjecture and it does make sense so I'm open to that being a possibility and I'm hoping that youre right. But for now I'm just not convinced.

A Microsoft employee has no right to tell another company what to do.

Hmmmmmmm.
Sounds a bit like....................
http://www.videogamer.com/news/plays...e_console.htmlWe haven't been creating our [past] PlayStations for the sake of games. Our belief, and the motivation behind running our company, has been to [explore ways of] applying the power of computers to entertainment and enjoyment. We equipped the original PlayStation with a 3D graphics chip, and we equipped the PS2 with the Emotion engine. The PS3 isn't designed to lean towards games. It's not a computer for children. In the sense that our goal has been [to create] a computer that's meant for entertainment, you could say that the original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 had existed as steps towards the PlayStation 3.
Don't tell me you're going to put down MS for saying voice and gesture control will be used more after Sony said that the Playstation isn't designed to lean towards games. If we had applied your logic to last generation then the PS3 would have been a total failure before it ever launched.
Now, this is just a thought here, but has it ever occured to you that MS had initially planned to have launched their next Xbox already, and as such stopped working on new 360 titles to start focusing on their next-gen games?
Because I don't think anyone expected MS to go 7 years with the 360 before their next-gen system when the 360 launched. Even the most ardent Xbox fanboys were only predicting 5-6 years and a 2011-2012 launch for next-gen.
I think MS may have lost their way when Xbox sold much better than they were expecting and their schedule between generations was delayed. I don't deny that they've seemed a bit lost these past few years, but I honestly think it was a few years of huge profits that they were not planning to have with the 360, and they put their plans on hold while they capitalized on that.Last edited by Completely Average; 02-15-2013 at 22:09.

Well Sony has kept the core exclusives coming including new IPs right up to the end of this gen while MS has been rehashing the same IPs for the last 3 years and focusing alot more on Kinect. So Sony has earned my trust as a core gamer but MS has to win mine back. Sure Sony makes some casual games too but it hasnt affected the amount of their core offerings unlike MS.
