I'm not going into the past. The community manager made it against the rules, we would be grateful if the community abided.

Sorry, that was the stupid Tapatalk app.
My question was in response to this...
Aren't you sure your question/statement? It's odd you can't name them.
I'll give you Alan Wake and Splinter Cell: Conviction in '10 (both third party). However, that seems to be when MS lost interest in providing their console owners with games they can't get elsewhere (aside from the big three). They invested a ton of time and money into exclusives early in the 360's life and then changed their focus from games to media streaming and timed DLC exclusivity. I fear that trend will continue into the next gen. I hope I'm wrong but that is what I'm starting to see.
They paid Rockstar $50 million the keep GTA IV DLC away from Sony for a limited time. Couldn't they have taken that money and the money they are paying Activision for early access to CoD maps and put that towards a studio that can pump out some great exclusives? Even Viva Pinata was a very different game. Can't they do something with that? Rare isn't doing much these days and I can't think of anything they've done since '08 aside from Kinect Sports.I don't need no stinkin' signature!

we must be in two different dimensions, i believe sony is still putting out AAA games for the ps3 (not 1 but about 3 of them!) and they are about to announce the ps4 in 3 days time! so yes the 360 might be winding down for something new, that doesnt stop them from putting out awesome games for the system! or are they planning on axing it like they did the OG xbox?....to me, there was never a year the 360 had better exclusives than the ps3! welcome to my world
lol you've never heard about "espn 3 or le brons" well you'll be hearing a lot about them with MS next consoleLast edited by YoungMullah88; 02-17-2013 at 17:58.

MS let failure scare them away from funding i.ps that weren't proven.
Crackdown 2 flopped. Alan Wake flopped(pc allowed it to be profitable). Ninja Blade flopped. Shadow Run flopped. too human flopped(
80million dollar budget). They cancelled sequels to perfect dark, kameo and conkor only for Rare to turn into a temp kinect studio.
*No need at all to bring up the ps3 at all. We are talking about MS and their current direction and possible future direction* <-- for anyone starting the compare game due to my post. No need for the thread to be derailed by pushing the attention away from MS's actions.Last edited by Two4DaMoney; 02-17-2013 at 18:42.

No MS were wise enough to see they didnt need so many average ip's to make Xbox 360 a success (who wants average IP's?) No doubt that MS have got their strategy absolutely spot on this past 7 years and the sales show that. To still be charging £199 for a 7 and a half year old console and people still buying it in their millions suggests MS know exactly what they are doing while you not so much.

No, those titles flopped.
don't go trying to give me a business lecture. I don't give a fuck about any of that bullshit as long as the company isn't going the way of the dreamcast. I, as a gamer, want more titles. You win some and you lose some. In MS's case, they lost and didn't try again. You don't need 4-5 million sales to make a profit unless you are fucking up horribly with the budgets.

They lost? Not sure how you work that out? They are the biggest success this gen out of the big three.

Fuck all that other shit. We are not talking Wii or Ps3. We are talking about games on the xbox 360. What successful big budget new I.Ps(created for the 360 and not brought from the 1st xbox) do they have in rotation?
Exactly...Gears. Everything else flopped or went multiplat. Left 4 dead the only oddball. It's successful but not in rotation and it's nowhere in sight and valve have gone multiplat. So who knows on that title.

This is an excellent point.
I personally think no one here is dooming the 360. I believe we are all fans- just a bit weary considering MS' track record of 'exploding big, and dwindling shortly after' (not seeing it through the end).
So if MS does get some good (first party, and new IP) games in the first 2-3 years. Who knows if gamers will be rewarded for those that can only afford an XBox console (or heck those that want one for games)?
I'd settle down trying to play "whack-a-mole" with comments, at what I'm assuming you see as "anti-MS" sentiments, Flaw3d Genius.

Ah, I see you got banned. lol. If you're still lurking I have to say I'm surprised you didn't see it was a lost cause. I mentioned what it was like before the PS3 and 360 released at this forum. It's very reminiscent at the moment and will only get worse. Trust.
One of the arguments then was why get a xbox 360 over a PS3 when MS is only going to support it for 4 yrs and drop support like the first xbox. I'm guessing these guys let that argument slip from their minds. Now here we are with the PS3 releasing a year after the xbox 360 and Sony is announcing the PS4 before the announcement of the next xbox...
Now the argument that it seems they've been working on is why get the next xbox over PS4 when it'll have no games.
Haha, it's almost 1:1. Based on fear and doubt. Get enough of that from republicans, does it have to be brought into gaming as well.
Here are the facts from xbox to xbox 360.
-more users
-more live subscribers
-longer console life span
-more exclusives
-just fucking better
Now if we look at facts in this black and white way because that's the only way it needs to be looked at in this case, there is nothing to worry about. If MS moves to slowly for you that's a different matter and argument in itself. But facts are everything has gone up and expanded.
PS. I don't care what console you own.
