Maybe the trigger are morphed in as one trigger each for each shoulder and we do not have 4 anymore

Thanks to Spyrde/Sylar

From the looks it they have rounded everthing off and increase the size ever so slightly, the controller looks like its made out the same plastic the DS3 is but the reflective face makes it seem Matt black
Looks good so far

And it very well might, but they serious need to give it some cosmetic surgery and un-fuglify that thing! Sony is the master of making sexy hardware, so I do have faith in them, I know it is a prototype and I don't think they would alienate their user base with something inferior!

Second image of PS4 prototype controller surfaces

What do you guys think? I see more rounded grips that remind me of the 360 design. Still can't tell if the analog sticks are concave, or just convex but indented from the outside rims.
Clearly see the headphone jack and probable speaker.

How long do you think the battery life will be on that controller? hahaha

The WiiU gamepad lasts for ages so I'm hoping there is a decent battery in here too
Also, I wonder what that Move sensor is all about. I hope they aren't just adding it for the sake of it. I'm behind the idea of a touchpad as it will probably enhance OS usability and whatnot but a move sensor? Dunno what it can add. It's not like they are gonna dispose of the whole nav/move controller periphiral

In my Opinion with these touchpads, Sony should stop shadowing Nintendo.

uhm they had it on the vita. my take on it (which no one has mentioned) is that it'll make ps vita games easier to port (more compatible)
and another thing, i hope they're using the next gen rumble

I am all for having touch sensitivity on the controller, I think it will definitely enhance the system...the Move integrated into the controller, now that I am not thrilled about...
I hope they have some type of next gen rumble in the controller as well! There have been a lot of advancements made in that area over the past 7 years!

Would be awesome to use the speaker for talk to text and other voice commands. Also to use the track pad much like those on laptops.

Yeah the thing I'm really interested is what the Move sensor will be used for as well. The touch pad's use is pretty obvious, but I'm not really sure how exactly you would use the controller as a Move controller. Just imagining holding the controller in one hand as if it was the normal Move controller seems kind of awkward and I don't really know how you would use it with two hands.
Overall though, I actually kind of like the prototype design better now after seeing a second picture. I hope they make it look a little bit nicer in the final version but I like what they are going for with it. I really like all the things they've added like the touchpad, speaker, and headphone jack. I'm curious to see how they, as well as the game makers, will use those features. I'm also really interested in the triggers, since once again we are not really able to see them. I'm not quite sure what to think about the thumb sticks and the overall shape, but honestly I don't really care as long as it feels good while holding it.

I would rather have something that fits my hand perfectly and provides a better experiences than something that looks good ( especially in this case)

Can't see it having a mic jack that's a step back from blue tooth.

It looks more like a speaker than a mic on the controller, seems a weird thing to have on a DS. Didn't the wii controller have that?
