Playstation 4 vs. Xbox 3

For me, I'm starting out with the PS4, from what I've read on the xbox, I'll have to pay more than what I want. Needing internet for it work, need kinect for multitasking. Nah sorry not for me. I eventually get the next xbox but not when it comes out. PS4 is a day 1 purchase for me.

ps4 first for me...maybe when i see a killer app from MS, ill jump in again (for the 360 it was splinter cell! yup splinter cell, then i had to play gears and a little bit of halo...because it came with my elite bundle lol)

I'm holding off until all details are known about both consoles. I really want to hear what MS is going to do on the exclusive IP front before making a decision. I'll only be getting one console so I need to make sure which one is right for me.

Based on exclusives alone... PS4. I usually buy all consoles but waiting for a big exclusive and Zelda on Wii-U and will wait out on the xbox3 to see if the rumours turn out to be true. If they are, especially the mandatory connected kinect, i'll be skipping on it.

Ps4 will be my 1st console. I love the direction sony has been going in.

If these rumors are true then the ps4 will have an equal or better version of 3rd party titles so that leaves me looking forward to exclusives only with the 720. And MS has a bad reputation in this area for big budget exclusives judging how they handled the 360. They have quite a bit to prove and that's going to take years of watching their gaming direction.

I wouldn't be surprised if MS releases first in Europe if Sony goes for a march 2014 release. Although I hope for a worldwide simultaneous release. It's time.

I am getting both. I do not care about the specs of either console. They are the next gen consoles, and I will have them.

I agree. I'm definitely getting a PS4 but I may get a 720 way later in the generation if MS doesn't repeat the process that they did with the 360. But like you said that would take years of watching their gaming direction.
