According to that chart, 8GB of GDDR5 would cost them like $70.

4.35 (512MB) x 16 (8GB) = $69.60

The light wasn't just to identify players....i think they meant that they will identify the controllers so you can track them better...they showed the camera while talking about it.

I like how he mentioned the 3.5mm jack on the controller. I prefer using proper headsets rather than using bluetooth headsets.

I guess like the sphere in the middle of the 360 controller instead of a 4 little led lights on the top like the DS3. I think it will look cool when playing in the dark!

Well they got me hooked... even if my dumb ass couldn't accept 8 GB of GDDR5. There's $4K graphics cards that don't even have 8 GB of GDDR5.

Event was quite nice. PS4 hardware specs seem amazing, and the 8GB GDDR5 is just absolutely beautiful to know. The fact that you can officially remote play on the Vita and allowing friends to take over your game online, or basically the Gaikai features are really something to be proud of.

On the games side however, I feel Sony's holding back till E3 to show off the big guns. Yet, KZ: Shadowfall, Infamous: Second Sun and Watch_Dogs do seem quite something else. Love KZ: Shadowfall's new colour palette, something that the series had been needing all the way from KZ2. Deep Down from Capcom also looks interesting, if not a Demon/Dark Souls copy.

Square, again, was a total and utter failure this time, making an announcement during an announcement again. Showing off a 8 month old tech demo (Agni's Philosophy) isn't really a big game-changer from SE by any means. Hope they can save their poor asses once and for all this E3 with Versus and this new Final Fantasy for the PS4.

Overall, the conference went well I guess. E3 this year is going to be megatons after megatons, IMHO. The final console design, other big first and third party games (hopefully some news on The Last Guardian and Versus XIII). 7/10 from me.

I like that Sony is not going their own crazy way this time around...PS3 was obviously not the best design and only worked well in certain areas.

I feel like they have listened to everything this time around and kept all the nerdy japanese out of it.

I expect that E3 is where well hear about Uncharted 4, price, and a solid release date. I WANT IT NOW, I WANT PS4 NOW, ...I... I WANT IT NOW!

Yep - better for everyone (especially for 3rd party games not suffering the Bayonetta-syndrome).

This will push that forward very quickly IMO. Budget cards will go from 1 to 2GB, mid range up to 4 and the heavy hitters 6-8.

Not the best way to estimate since the 4350 doesn't use GDDR5.

Then again those cards are old so prices have likely decreased.

I would be surprised if 8GB of DDR5 costs more than ~$50-$60 in 2013.
