Previously seen as the epitome of masculinity and wisdom, it is now often frowned upon in certain jobs and regulated through facial hair policies. In an age where many men wax their chests, moisturise, and visit tanning shops, is the lack of beards just another symptom of the emasculation of men? Whatever the answer, I think it's a shame.
For any fellow or potentially bearded men, the beard:

Ahh I just shaved mine on Sunday , I was growing it for about 5-6 months..
It was keeping me warm in the Winter though,... I should've kept it.

I keep a light beard, I find myself to look awkward without one. Plus I have chubby cheeks lol
I'm currently at 'should have probably trimmed it by now' length but after the OP I'm gonna let this badboy grow out a little bit

I don't know if I can even grow a beard
my stubble only goes to a certain length, I can't handle the itchyness and I look like a mong. Another thing is it doesn't make me look older which I wouldn't mind, I went to the cinema with a stubbly face and got away with a teen ticket, I'm 23 ffs lol.
my brother can grow a beard in a pretty short time, those genes must of skipped me

Excellent. If this thread has convinced even one person to keep or grow their beard, then I consider it a success.
If you're 23 you potentially have decades for your beard to develop, and there are many different styles to suit varying levels of coverage. The itchiness phase does pass after a few weeks and it can look rather untidy during the growing phase, but that does pass too.

The irony of this thread is I shaved my beard this week, all of it. I look like a goddamn little boy. My manhood is gone, my self-confidence, non-existent. I just wanted to start over fresh, so it could grow out equally. It would look nice, they said. It would get the ladies, they said.
