$89 is a bit pricey for an annual subscription. I'm just hoping that the features of "PlayStation World" justify the subscription cost.

It might be worth it, especially since ps+ is a great investment.

I hope SONY make sure they PROPERLY get the world out of what the PS WORLD offers to everyone, last thing they need is people getting the wrong ideas.

If cloud /gaikai = we could play a trial of EVERY single game then this would a one of the BEST things ever for NG IMO. Sadly that is not gonna be the case.

Playstation plus was $50 for a year and I thought it was more than worth the price for that subscription. I think they ditched the PS+ name because they revamped the service. For $89 a year if that is the correct price this could be a really good deal depending on what they plan to do for $89.

Aww man, I hear that!! Steaming just sucks for me when I try MKV files. It only works well with Arrested Development, but movies, hell no. Actually, I wouldn't mind if PS3 supported every single file format. MOV included. Oh and BETTER INTERNET BROWSER!! Need to watch my pr0n on teh big screen.

All of my ripped Blu-ray discs are lossless MKVs ranging from 16 GB to 40+ GB. Would be quite nice to be able to just hook up an external drive and push play. :/

Pretty much what I expected. I'm glad they're charging for crap features lol. Left all the great ones for gamers.

Damn right. I have a shitload of hq mkv music video`s i`d like to dump off my nexus 7 and s2 onto my ps3 for playback. Its a fuckin disgrace as an acclaimed media centre. Especially as both my nexus 7 and s2 play them without any problems.
