I'm trying to gather what the overall response of gamers is to the PS4 reveal. I have a very short survey. Would really help me if you could submit your thoughts on the PS4!

Honestly I wasn't that excited about next gen until this presentation. Sony did a great job making me want the PS4. I may not get it on launch (I'm in college right now), but it is a must have for sure.
Sony did an awesome job showing us a variety of games and bringing exciting announcements. Also, while some may complain, I am really excited about the new social aspects they're adding and I am happy with the PS4's specs.
I'm excited to not have to deal with long load times. Also being able to play games before they finish downloading? That is so fucking awesome. This was awesome, Sony now has a ton of support and they have learned from their mistakes. I am excited to see what the future holds.

I love the online features. But I am wondering how much it will detract from local play. Some of these games seem to be wholly online and I wonder if it's even possible to have somebody IRL playing on a second controller (aside from online takeover).

I couldn't have asked for much more from the show except for maybe seeing Kaz there.
It was a great showing though. A solid amount of games show for a reveal. There was also basic structure revealed. Controller was also revealed. There really wasn't much more that I could have asked for especially since GDC and E3 are still to come. They still have room to show plenty off without letting the hype train die out due to releasing too much info. I think Sony killed it!

I think the show went great. Yeah, they didn't go all out and explain everything. They withheld a lot of details that you know they are saving for E3 and other events. But in terms of getting the word out? They did a great fucking job. They came out, didn't waste our time, and just showed some of the features/games that WILL come out with the PS4. Not to mention the play a game while it downloads? Fuck yeah! Oh and pause a game and come back to it whenever? Also great (I know Vita can already do this).
Also filled out the survey.

This was more of a presentation behind the tech of the PS4; their ambition with Gaikai; their partners and game engines along with icing on the top with few games that will take advantage of the hardware. I am personally pleased with the whole thing. I was a bit bummed with the lack of console reveal and pricing but there is always, E3!.

She's sweet, she tries to ask questions and genuinely tries to understand why I'm so excited like a kid on Christmas. But it's difficult to explain how different this gen will be from last gen to someone who only played like Mario on NES.
This gave me a good chuckle. Better be on your best behavior, mister!
