I thought this was some BS Move game from a couple years ago... initially. It doesn't look terrible, but if Ratchet were still alive this would have nothing on Clank (so far).
By the way, the whole Killzone debate... How many of us remember people complaining about all the FPS games looking gritty and no color. Before someone jumps on that, I'm not pointing fingers... just think about it.

Well you are getting different complaints from different people. For example i never complained about lack of color in Killzone 2/3 and loved the gritty look. I can deal with this im just saying i liked the gritty dirty look more.
Going back to topic
I watched the trailer a few more times and it has grown on me a bit so i may put this on the backlog for when its cheaper.Last edited by HellsJester; 02-21-2013 at 08:04.

1) If that isn't just a target render for Knack then it will be about the physics of the character, hundreds of components moving as a single model. That's pretty impressive in a lot of ways.
2) The Killzone: Shadowfall video: You guys do realize that city is split in half right, separated by a big wall with the ridiculous clean ISA on one side, and the dark and grim Helgast on the other. You see the wall as the video pulls back at the end, just after he blows up the air transport. Which crashes into Helgan territory. I don't think anyone needs to get their panties in a bunch about the gritty Killzone look. That's also why he mention the similarities to Berlin.

There seems to be a lot of hate for this game around the net atm...and I really don't understand why. LOVE the art direction.
Trophy-licious!

Compared to Killzone, Watch Dogs, Drive Club, and Destiny....I can't pick a true star of the show because all of these games look absolutely amazing.

No one's going to comment on the Pixar-like visuals?

Still, it's pretty impressive. There's more to next-gen than realistic visuals.

That is one thing I never understood with Pixar, they take such incredible pride with their movies in creating them and then allow Disney to have games made of their movies that look and play like crap! I wish companies like Pixar and Dreamworks would have their own game development studios where they could use the actual character models from the movies, that would be cool!

If you ever watch a behind the scenes of what Pixar does, so much passion gets put into the storyboards, animation, etc. and then the games come out and they are shit! The games represent your movie in the gaming world, if I were a studio like that I would have a dedicated team created just for creating the game of that movie, that way everything jives and it looks and plays great!
