Why Sony didn't show us the PS4?

Iam no expert nor have experience in this business. But why Sony didn't show us the design of PS4? I was hoping that more provided details on the hardware such as the gpu, cpu, cooling system fans, network, can we link our current PS3 accounts on the PS4 or purchased games can be redownloaded on the ps4, and etc. Nothing like that was mentioned in this event. What do you guys thing? Sony didn't want to tell us because so Microsoft won't know anything?

Me too man plus that stream thing is going to have some problems for sure. To be able to stream any content good. The person he/she most have a connection and not most us do. Plus the internet connection sometimes it drops. I think its a cool feature but not good much.

I think they're waiting until E3 to unveil it. It's part of the hype.

They probably thought it wasn't time to reveal it, yet. Sony wants their fans to keep wanting more. They'll show it at E3. Hopefully I'll have my pass by then, if things go smoothy. I just hope they don't delay the released like they did with the PS3. Though it would've be nice to release it on a warmer season. Lol

Whilst I would have liked them to show us the hardware box itself it's understandable not to blow all of your loads 8-9 months before release. Now people will be looking forward to the shell, rather than knowing almost everything about PS4

I'm confident it's gonna be a sexy beast though. Sony's 2013 hardware designs have been lovely so far

Exactly, Sony needs to keep people wanting more. If they revealed everything now, then the hype would slowly die down as there wouldn't be anything to speculate and wonder about. Slowly revealing everything over the next six months will allow them to maximize media converge and publicity, hopefully paving the way for a hype crazed launch.

Beyond that, the physical design might just not even actually be ready yet.

You are right. Now, this garbage Microsoft is dying and they will die when PS4 will be out. Sony for sure will wipe them out.

• I would say you right and agree. As thier boss just said now, people might get bored if they showed everything.

There's only two possible reasons.

1. The design isn't even close to ready.
2. They're not confident in the design they have.

I'm just thinking the ps4 will be so good people will be looking at their screen all the time and not the console, and hence not care what it looks like.

It'll look like the first dev kit (I.E. a jumbled frankenstein PC mess) not worth showing yet. They have to pull us in and get us excited before they either streamline it or drop a bom on us
