PS4 will play used games.

It is something that has been discussed recently; so for those worried about it, it looks like the PS4 will play used games.

So if someone buys a PlayStation 4 game, I asked, you're not going to stop them reselling it?

"Aaaah," was Yoshida's initial answer, but seemingly only because he'd forgotten his line. "So what was our official answer to our internal question?" he asked his Japanese PR advisor. The advisor stepped in but didn't seem to answer clearly, at least to my ears. Yoshida then took control again firmly:

"So, used games can play on PS4. How is that?"

Great news for me. Financially, i can quite easily afford new games, but often, if i`m not sure about a game, i will pick it up used for £20.00 or so. This has pretty much confirmed my definite purchase of the ps4.

I think i will go pre-order with GAME later today.

Good I play used or new games, doesn't really matter to me. If it doesn't work I just take it back and exchange it for one that does.

Excellent. This was one of the deal breaker/maker issues for me. I just hope that Sony sticks with this decision.

As soon as companies remove the ability to play used games, I stop playing games altogether. When games are $120 at release I just can't justify it. However after 6 months when their available for $60 then I am in like Flynn.

I'd never buy a game @ $120 a pop. I'd rather sit and twiddle my thumbs than spend that much on one game.

This is regarding used PS4 games. Not backwards compatibility with PS3/PS2/PS1 games.
