So the DS3 has a 570 mAh battery, and the DS4 has 1000 mAh (although it says tentative). I wonder if it'll last longer or if the added features will take up more power.

The extra baterry power will most likely compensate for the light, touchpad, speakers etc. I don't think it will last longer

How does this compare to the PS3? Are there any more hard numbers so you can do direct comparison of the GPU in the PS4 to the PS3? I'd like to see a side by side comparison chart but it seems like they were specifically short on these kinds of things.

It is precisely a metric duckload more powerful than PS3.

Honestly, we can't do a comparison right now because they withheld specific details about the hardware. All they said is it will have 8 GB of GDDR5 unified memory, which is a new technology being developed by AMD. It will also have a Jaguar CPU, which is another new tech being developed by AMD. The speed of the processor and the details of the GPU are non-existent at the moment, other than the GPU is "specialized".

resolution is chosen by the devs. though i think the PS4 will be capable for 4k output (not for games) o.O
don't quote me on that last bit though

no doubt we will get more 1080p games though
