What do you guys & gals think of Mark Cerny with his speech and all.. Also, did I hear it correctly, is he the brains behind the PS4 architecture and design?
If what I just asked is true, then I am very amazed at this guys mindset behind what a console should be. I also liked listening to his speech. I think he did a fantastic job.
What about all of you?

I was super happy with his attitude, and the fact that he admitted that Cell Processor was a mistake and hard for developers to play with. He was an awesome speaker and I was very pleased.

I really liked this guy too. He's more relatable than Kaz and Jack, even though they're both cool in their own way. I thought Andrew House did well too.
But of course, Ono was the best.

He seemed cool in my book. I actually want to play Knack, too. It's similar to a vision I have for a protagonist who is a nanocolony.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a worldwide launch on our hands!

Honestly? It was the best part of the reveal for me. It showed that they truly understand developers, the changing market, and in turn, the consumers. They see the rise of mobile gaming, social gaming, and the rising integration of smartphones and tablets and how to coexist. They realize the potential for the cloud, that GUIs should be quick and simple, that touch interface has its functions, what gamers want out of a controller, and most importantly, that putting developers first will make everything else fall into place.
"We wanted to ensure that nothing would come between the platform and the joy of play ... We also wanted to be sure that the system architecture could fluidly connect the player to a larger world of experiences, and provide easy access to everything PlayStation® has to offer – across the console and mobile spaces, and PlayStation®Network. And we were able to create, in PS4, a platform by game creators for game creators.."

I enjoyed his section. Was very easy to understand the point he was trying to make, and although he spoke for a while he didn't really waffle at any stage.
Good shit. He should present more often for Sony lol

I think it was a stroke of genius to make him lead architect. Not only is he a hardware guy but he makes games too, so he knows the specifics of how the system design will directly affect what he will be able to do on the software level. They went all out with the by developers--for developers mantra.

I personally think Sony should hire this guy to speak at other events for them because I found him enjoyable to listen to.

You can tell he doesn't speak publicly much but he did well for the stage he was on. He sounded passionate about the ps4 which is to be understood since its his baby. I like him. I think he could be a like able face for Sony fans of America. No body will top Kaz though.

Here's what looks like a very in depth interview/presentation with Cerny concerning all things gaming. Skimmed through parts of it and added it to my favourites - will watch it at some point
