This is what a next-generation version of Super Mario in First-Person Mode could look

YouTube’s ‘freddiew’ has created an amazing video, showcasing what a Super Mario Bros game could look like on next-generation platforms in a first person perspective. Freddie has used 3dsMax 2012, After Effects, FumeFX, Vray, Krackatoa, and Premier in order to create this video, which is in fact a sequel to an old Super Mario FP video that was released a while back. It looks epically amazing, so make sure to watch it!

I like the concept here, this could actually work in the next gen nintendo console

    My sentiments exactly.

I would get a headache playing this. The realism doesn't suit Mario to begin with.

Pretty much any platformer wouldn't work in FP.

It would still be bizarre for a Mario game. It would be a different feel for the series, that's for sure.
