Yeah that was more a demonstration of the kind of things that are capable rather than a demonstration of exactly what the games will look like. As itachi said, I'm sure they will go way beyond that with enough time.

Game vs. Tech Demo with no sound, background, surrounding effects, etc...
While I'm a fan of that demo, we need to be careful with them... Once they show a real game we can start comparing. Quantic Dreams definitely has a much better artistic approach in their creations, which I personally appreciate a lot.
Either way... I don't see it blowing Crysis 3 out of the water at all.
Edit: I do expect great things from Naughty Dog.

The head demo looks quite doable, good but nothing that cannot be done by a good team.
Infamous is clearly realtime rendered and screenshots suggest 2xMSAA used as AA. (best seen on tower shot.)

Deep Down looks very good, but has a lot of little things that tell it's realtime. (aliasing, DoF bleeding etc.)
It also has lot's of fluid dynamics and those scenes are not so easy to read.. not entirely sure the scenes with fire are realtime or that the actual fire is not done offline. (simulation part).
Media Molecules demo was perhaps one of the most inspiring from technical standpoint.
Sculpting using distance fields while having a huge world where to play with them..
Their GI method seems to be very high quality as well.Last edited by jlippone; 02-24-2013 at 11:34.

Well... remember those games weren't created thinking of 8GB from scratch so devs will have a lot of room to improve.
I'm honestly not a fan of Infamous games, maybe open world action is not my thing. Love AC and RDR though, but those are kinda different games. I don't even like FPS that much.
Games I want to see running on the PS4?
God of War
Uncharted
Devil May Cry
Next-gen Tomb Raider
Gran Turismo 6
A Bioware RPG (please let it be something Jade-Empire related!)
Batman Game
Rayman =)

No demos on stage took advantage of the 8 GB RAM recent specs. All of them were developed on the 4 GB spec devkits in mind, which probably changed a little while ago. KZ shadow fall demo and infamous two son were made in Two months.
Infamous footage was said to be all running real time and in game accod to sucker punch. Just with edited footage.

Probably most of the games shown are early Alpha builds.Remember the evolution of KZ3 from Alpha to Beta preview and to final retail. And of the first gameplay footages of early PS3 games like motorstorm.
The only one which could ve been pre redenred could be deep down, but even you could see some clues at it being rendered in-engine. Mtframerwork engine was pretty capable of at the time, this new iteration for next gen looks fantastic.PLayStation.3

Ow yeah. Fist pump for the third person love.
Except Infamous ;(. Such a great series, and I'm glad there will be another one. Maybe I'm wrong in this but I think I read a while ago that Sucker Punch had been increased in size, so perhaps they are flirting with a new IP as well
