Has there been any news or credible rumors on wether you will use ur same account. Live is said to carry gamer scores name and other account stuff across to next gen on xbox any news on if its the same. Will there be trophies?

There's a possibility that you will be able to transfer your PSN account over. Not sure about trophies though. It might be a good or bad move if Sony uses a new system for the PS4's online.

All I have seen says no psn content can be brought to ps4(seen interview somewhere with someone lol),not sure if this will apply to usernames and trophies

Ive heard the same. those games are ps3 code and would have to be converted to ps4 and then redownloaded. It is a shame because they have built quite a library. So instead thats where gaikai comes in, to stream them to you.

I would be pissed if I had a large psn collection. I got mad when my fat died recently and my daughters ps2 game wouldnt work, but we went on the store and for 10 dollars I redownloaded the same game that did work.

Dont know cant take anything for granted if they already said no bc and/or psn content. Maybe it follows that there is a new system for trophies?

I would think the PSN account and trophies would carry over, but as for the purchased content from the PSN store...we will have to wait and see...

I heard the same of no PSN account transfer... That in mine mind and many's minds makes no sense what so ever. Because you lose everything and have to start from the bottom and work all the way up again

That will go for PAYMENTS FOR GAMES OR OTHER ITEMS, TROPHY SUCCESS,

and the top concern is your details like ADDRESS, BANK DETAILS, the most important things you have and will they shut down PS3 PSN accounts you made and delete all information

And let you discontinue your Direct Debt setup for your account

This the most important thing, because that data still floating around their data banks and not getting used. Opens a lot of angry customers and HACKERS have attack the PSN network before and got access to over 3 million or so account details

and with none-deleted information, this is scary

I would assume trophies would transfer over. I don't see why not. It's just the games that won't.

but the transfer of you PSN account to PS4, your trophies are connected to your PSN account. With a fresh console comes fresh trophy catching all over again

lets clear this up sony said no on psn CONTENT. there hasn't been a word on weather you can transfer your ps3 ID/account.

I wouldn't care personally, but I would be surprised if it didn't carry over, since Sony wants PSN to be universal and persistent, like Xbox Live.

People would riot if their accounts/trophies didn't transfer over. Especially the hardcore trophy hunters, all that work and they disappear on the PS4? Sony would have quite a bit of unhappy customers.

Thanks for all the responses. Id really like to see if this is gonna happen (fingers crossed for E3). Seems a waste of time hunting any more if they don't move over but then again on new generations in the past you have lost stuff and sigs etc.

Did we have to start all over with the vita? No.... our accounts will transfer over it'll break it down as vita (if you own one), ps3 and ps4! Simple, content might not transfer over but our info will

I can't believe people actually think our trophies and info will not transfer over, all we are doing is syncing with Sony servers
