I don't think it will carry over , the names maybe but not trophies

they might even use a new system so everyone would sign up again

There's also the other image, though, showing over 2700 trophies, including 7 Platinums.

I have 1346 trophies with 8 Platinums (super short of 10), but I would hope at least our names would carry over. The trophies aren't a major thing for me. Maybe allow us first dibs on them, as I could see people signing up on the PS4 with a popular PS3 name.

that is what i am saying, everything has to carry over and to re-capture them trophies again and all them downloads etc...

like i said, i know damn well we can not play ps3 games on the vita! but yet we see our ps3 trophies when we check our trophy count via the vita...so what is so wrong with them doing the same with the ps4? if they want to add monetary value to trophies, then all they have to do is only make it count with ps4 games! if it doesnt carry over, who cares?

That's what I'm saying! I'm sure they will transfer over. Sony knows how much many of their fans love their trophies. They would get a lot of heat if they decided to start over.

I would honestly like if they would let us change our name but keep our account. I'm kind of tired of my PSN name and it just doesn't have much pizzazz to it.

Well, you'll be able to sync up your Facebook account. So if your real name is cool, then problem solved!

I wouldn't be too bothered about my PSN name carrying over as long as it will still be able to be used on the PS3 so I can use the same e-mail address to sign up for a PS4/PlayStation "World" account. It would be nice to have a fresh start. I'd be sure to message all my current PSN friends though so I can add them on the PS4.

Yes, and your PS Vita Trophies show up on your PS3. It's all tied together. I'd not expect that to change at all. While of course you could create a new PSN Account, why would you?

All I hears was that the existing purchased PSN games on one console won't count as a purchased game on the PS4. This to me actually re-inforces the fact that you can use the same account, you'll just not be able to transfer game ownership over.

Think of it this way, anything that goes over will either be a respin for PS4 or will be accessed via Gaikai. So, they'll want their money again.

Eh. Hopefully they will have a privacy option where you can allow select friends to see your real name. Idk, I've just always been very cautious with putting my full name out there.

Not sure that I'll be connecting it up to my facebook account. If I do decided to start sharing this stuff I'll create a new Facebook account and share via that.

I'll be starting fresh even though I have a lot of platinum trophies. I always hated my PSN ID, when I created it I done so in a rush and never thought it through. So with PS4 I'll be starting fresh. Trophies don't really mean anything to me anyway they are just a gauge on how much of a game I played.

Yeah, it would be a good time to change if you don't like your ID.

I've been using TAZ427 since 2000, and I use it in all of my forum accounts and gamer IDs.

I want to change my name but if trophies transfer I'll keep if. Im a trophy whore so no way I'm going to past with them that easy unless I'm forced to. I won't be too happy if that happens.
