PS4 game cover/case design?

Sup guys just wondering, what do you think the game case would be like ? I hope it's. a bit larger and without that top piece that says blu ray and it would be awesome if they print the picture of the game to the cover i mean from the inside instead of just putting a paper

I personally liked the ps3 cases. I thought they were sleek looking. I would like them to be blue this time around like the Blu Ray cases.

I agree it looks good but we need a change

also the top part of the ps3 game cases ruins it tho

Oh the case will almost surely be redesigned. They have every generation of the ps so I think you will get a new case. I just hope they are about the same size. That was the best change to the cases IMO.

I do think they'll play with blue this time around. Seeing how Vita has that color approach and how every PS add now involves blue+the triangle, square, circle and X combo, I wouldn't be surprised if they did something very similar to big Vita game cases.

I would like the PS4 games cases to be full metal but i cant see that happening it would cost more

Yup something similar to how the Vita cases look now...just with the size of a PS3 case.

Sony hasn't changed the identity of PlayStation that much in over a decade in terms of overall branding. So I assume we won't see a big change. The main change has been a more progressive use of blue to make the brand appear more inviting and inclusive (the rise of the casual market). Sony's vision for PlayStation now would benefit if this approach continued.

It's safe to say that we're going to continue seeing sleek, blue branding, especially when it marries the PS4 packaging design together with what is seen on Vita.

Funny thing is, the biggest change Sony has made to PlayStation branding since 2000 has been that ridiculous Spider-man typeface. And we all know how that worked out.

Technically they didn't redesign the case at every PS. They opted to use the case that the media used at every stage. PS One used CD's and they used a standard CD case. PS2 was DVD and they used a standard DVD case, PS3 used BD's and they used BD's cases (though slightly thicker.)

Unless something magical has happened, they'll still be using BD's on the PS3, and I fully expect them to continue to use cases of the same general dimension of the BD cases.

I like some of the ideas (Metal Case, Printed Image instead of a paper slip, etc.) Unfortunately anything that adds extra cost I doubt will be used for the standard PS4 game case.

Personally I like the Clear of the PS3 cases, and Blue of my BluRay Movies, easier to separate. I can do without the Red of the 'Greatest Hits' game versions but I won't complain too loudly.

Yeah true they just used the standard for 2 out of the 3. PS3 was really the only one that had a specially designed case for it. They just added their own little twist to the first 2. The ps1 less than the others but the DVD cases from what I remember was a navy blue. Although they didn't really stray from the standard of DVDs and CDs.
