I understand you may need a month or two to get your European SKU's ready but it shouldn't be longer than that. If the PS4 is released more than two months later in Europe it's only because Sony can't make enough of them. It has very little to do with regulations.

Again id say that others manage it, maybe they need to look at their manufacturing setup if that's the case.

Again ill stress im a disgruntled fan not an xbox fanboy having a dig, i think its a legitimate question.

I would also state at the moment its my only gripe.

I agree. My point was there's no excuse for Sony launching more than a month or two later in Europe. Considering the console market is smaller 2013 than it was 2006/2007, Sony ought to be able to manage a near upon, or, global launch.

Agree, we will see though maybe it will only be a short gap or no gap yet. They claim they are trying to not make this case but making no promises from what i hear.

I can see the ps4 launch in japan and use in13 then the uk in 14

Going to buy from the USA anyway, cheaper and need the Region A for my blu-rays.

Hopefully games remain region free.

MS dropped support for the Xbox so they only had one console to really worry about ramping up. Nintendo was barely manufacturing gamecubes when they released the Wii in November in NA and a month later in EU. Sure a month is not much but it's still not "managing it", especially when you consider SONY had much more consoles being manufactured.

The PS2 has been dropped and if the hardware is final (PS4), they SHOULD be able to ramp up more units this time around. It would be in their best interest to have many units to satisfy demand in as many territories as they can. If I were SONY, I would release in EU before JPN, JPN being a "sure thing" vs MS

for me its good!! i can buy new tv, vita, new sound system(maybe), and collect money for all launch titles im interested for, aslo EU will get 2nd wave of consoles manufactured, that means they will be more stable

For me, I will get the TV Samsung LED 3D series ES8000 and get it done when my PS4 comes out.

As long as they release in America first, that is where the most ground has to be made up by Sony. I don't mind waiting an extra few months again, gives me more time to save.

Sony will for sure launch in Japan 1st, I don't think anyone can doubt that. If Sony must do a staggered launch in territories, a US release before Europe is the smartest way to go about it. I'm not saying this because I live in the US, I'm saying it because the US is the only territory where they lost and has the largest chance of losing again to Microsoft.

If they announce a $300 price, then I'm guessing it may launch in Japan first.

I dont get why its so hard to launch something in Europe at the same time as the rest of the world.. All other console makers seem to be able to do it.

It will be $399, they saw back in 2005 how well the Xbox360 sold at that price when it launched, so I definitely see them coming in at this price.
