I'm a little bit bummed out that the only release titles we've seen so far for PS4 are all action titles. Remember PS2? Close to release we got amazing and varied games. Everything from SSX and Dark Cloud to Silent Hill 2 and Final Fantasy X. While we can't say for sure what games we'll get for release, I'm still a bit worried that we're only going to get action titles.
One thing that does keep my hope up though, is that PS4 is apparently going to be very easy to develop on, which PS2 was also. So hopefully that means more games will release early, which higher the chances of more variation and quality as well.
Your thoughts?

Knack and DriveClub were the only titles that stood out from the presentation.

The console just got announced...we don't even have a launch list yet,
The PS2's launch list was TERRIBLE, with only Tekken Tag being a decent game for launch. Yeah, it got better quickly, but its pure launch titles were nothing special.

Watch dogs and killzone-sf online will keep me busy for some time. But the good games always are worth the wait...gt6, uncharted 4, killzone 4, god of war etc etc

I was reading your statement not your title.
something launched over a year after, is on not a title that was there "for release". I can read english just fine, maybe you should just explain in you op better what you mean. For release we got amazing and varied games. Everything from SSX and Dark Cloud to Silent Hill 2 and Final Fantasy X.

It wasn't a launch title.
Not even for Europe.
Looking back at the list though, I take back what I said, PS2's launch had quite a bit of quality and its variety was quite top notch, at least the US launch.
Tekken Tag
DOA 2 Hardcore
Street Fighter EX3
Silent Scope
Time Splitters
Evergrace
Dynasty Warriors 2
Summoner
Kessen
Eternal Ring
Armored Core 2
Ridge Racer V
Fantavision
I remember liking all of those titles. You have fighters, shooters, a hack n' slash, a strategy war game, western and eastern RPGs, a cool puzzler and a classic racing franchise.
It was good stuff.
