PS4 Will Not Play CDs

Why would you want to play a CD in a PS4 ? IF you are still buying and using CD:s then surley you would have a setup with amplifier and speakers to play them on....? And ps1 games ? Who can still play them without getting a headache ?

Am amp and speakers do not play CD's, I currently have a Yamaha Amp hooked up to Q-Acoustic floor standers with the PS3, 360 and Sky Box and the PS3 is my CD player.

I can officially say that I have never inserted an audio CD into my current PS3, so this won't be any kind of deal breaker for me!

That's true but they're still obsolete.

Heck, even Virgin records are done. If anything, you can just use the VIDEO to MP3 engines.

I have no cds in the house anymore.Most of my music is on usb surely the rest of you could rip cds?Its not one of the ps4 primary functions so I think its reasonable they spend no money on it.(even if you have sooo many cds).

I listen to CDs in my car.

I think something got los in translation.

I used my PS3 to rip CDs to mp3 a few times in the past to shove on a USB stick or whatever. The process was quicker and easier than using my PC.

It's odd, but hardly a deal breaker for me. Guess if I have to keep my ps3 around for ps3 games, surely I can use it if I desire to play a ps1 game too.

I did use a CD once in the Ps3 just to see if there where any special features, I was not impressed.

Just bought Mixmag...What's on the cover...yep a CD... Chase n Status! Hopefully the nxt-box will play cd's or else i'l be forced to buy a CD player to fit in an already crowded AV stand.

Saying that im still not convinced that the PS4 wont play CD's, Do other 6x Blu-Ray drives not play cd's?
