The best Adventure game since Uncharted 2. It really is outstanding. I bought it and was skeptical before I played it. Haven't beat it yet but have put about 5 or 6 hours in and for the first time in a long time last night when I was supposed to be sleeping all I could think of was "I can't wait til I can play this again tomorrow.".

I'd say it is better than Uncharted and that is saying something.

But uncharted is the king though and tomb raider does borrow somewhat from it. It built upon what uncharted did and expanded it. But tomb raider is an amazing and epic game from start to finish.I was shocked at how good it was after I rented it from redbox. I wish it had some sort of level select so I could replay some of those epic moments again.

As an old Tomb Raider fan, I just can't accept that, that was all. I own all 3,5 ( vita game too) they are all amazing games, yet Lara Croft is the first treasure hunter, archaeo ( don't know the word in english) in gaming world as far as I know. So I would say she let youngers to have some fun ( on this topic it refers to Nathan ) and she got to stage again Which simply made me happy

Lol the only thing better in this game than uncharted is that it let's you explore, obviously you're on an island. Everything else is a tad bit below uncharted 2. Still a fun action adventure game, trying to beat it before Tuesday (trading and getting gow)

Who did what first doesn't matter, they all got inspiration from the Indiana Jones series. But then you can see the influence the uncharted series has had on crystal dynamics

Im with u. Word for word. The first tomb raider back in 96 got me gaming again. Ive been back ever since and have played them all.

TR is probably my favorite series of all time (nate never did measure up,bi loved it but its to linear and slow)
I am so excited to get this when I get time.

It's about damn time they made a change to the series. All the previous ones do not stand the test of time at all. I seriously tried to play the first one's from ps1 recently and just couldn't do it.

I just finished the game and it was amazing, loved new Lara , story is quite something, I haven't seen anything like that for a while.

Lara holding two pistols again was an amazing moment, you all have to see this

It seems like they are more like AC series than Uncharted.

Nah uncharted is much more like indiana jones.Both nathan and indiana travel the world with friends, romantic interests, and father figures to stop some evil assholes from acquiring some mystical artifact. Also with some humor along the way.

tomb raider reboot is like a horror movie. Where a group of friends get stuck in a foreign place where all the locals are hostile.

I'm loving this game. I only played one time but that was for like 5 hours lol. Definitely one of the best games this gen from what I've played so far. Crystal Dynamics nailed this one.

Finished my first play through early this morning, still working on getting 100% in all the collection tasks. Far and away the best game in the Tomb Raider franchise. I do find it pretty funny that things have come full circle since Uncharted's fingerprints are all over this game. Uncharted was essentially an attempt to do Tomb Raider right, and now Tomb Raider is trying to do Uncharted right. It doesn't quite match Uncharted 2 which might be the best game of the generation, but it holds its own against the other two. There are some goofy elements, like using the climbing ascender to pull heavier objects, or the lighter being used to make on demand flaming arrows. The secondary cast is largely useless and barely developed, except perhaps Roth, and even Lara's development slows down once you get into the more combat oriented aspects of the game and she starts to head down the Nathan Drake path to mass murder. I would have preferred a more Uncharted approach to the final stages of the game, one of the things about Tomb Raider (Legend, Anniversary and Underworld being the games I've completed) is the over the top supernatural elements that take over at the end of the game, Uncharted tends to dial that back to something more con than magic.

Just got all the collection tasks completed, all locations at 100%, all weapons upgraded, though I haven't been given the Inconceivable trophy for some reason (oh seems the game will list a zone as 100% complete even if you never activated a challenge). So I decided to look at what's needed for the online trophies...just watched a video short cut about how to get 27,000 XP every 10 minutes and it would still take 40hrs to reach level 60. Forget that.

Love the game so far. Liked the fact that navigation is easier than previous games. It is a bit weird that little Lara becomes a full blown assassin in a matter of hours. But yeah, whatever, nice game either way.

Edit: lol wow its actually just gotten up again and this time its 50% off , damn the steam forums are scaring me alot though seems like the thing needs alot of patching/fixes to work properly
