What do you want me to base that on?
I was impressed with what they showed. I expected to see the console as well but I wasn't surprised when they didn't.
Now, I wasn't expecting them to show any games at this reveal (surprise for me.) So, they showed more than I was expecting (I was expecting to see console design, hardware specs, and a little bit about the OS.)Last edited by sainraja; 02-26-2013 at 02:31.

I was impressed with certain things too but I still say they didn't set the bar extremely high because they left out some key things that were important to me. I was asking you if you thought the same based on what I described and what you said about them not revealing everything. Was the bar set extremely high? IMO it wasn't.

Show that the hardware is as good as the ps4, disprove the always online/no used games rumours and show a strong support for Core gamers by producing a very good launch of new IPs ( AND MOST IMPORTANTLY new IPs that have the variety of what SONY offer)
Also as long as I can use the nextbox 100% without the use of the kinect, I will be fine. **** the moving my arms around to navigate/ having to use voice commands.
Good price too of course.
PS, I personally think SONY will win E3. I have more faith in them providing games to my taste.Last edited by LfCpS3; 02-26-2013 at 03:28.

If this is true...

http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/25/ps4-...-says-it-does/To add insult to Microsoft’s injuries, fresh rumors are circulating regarding Durango’s spec. Apparently the machine is woefully underpowered compared to PS4, with some now saying they don’t expect Microsoft to even talk raw tech when it announces the machine.
I don't really believe it thoughLast edited by Two4DaMoney; 02-26-2013 at 03:36.
Prepare for meltdowns if these next gen console rumors are true. Phase 1: Denial. Phase 2: Mask a lie under "opinion" vs a fact. Phase 3: Bring up the PS3/360 era when it has nothing to do with the subject. Phase 4: Say that the power gap doesn't matter but constantly defend the weaker specs.
^Old sig. Predicted before both reveals^

To be honest, Sony did everything I wanted from an event like this. The box is not important, nor should we expect the price so early, so these are the four main things I'm looking for in an unveiling:
-Show a clear vision
-Unveil powerful specs
-Show some very useful, innovative features
-Show plenty of games, including a handful of exclusives
And Sony delivered. So I would like Microsoft to do those four things as well. Obviously it would be wonderful to have more detail into the new Xbox Live and other aspects, but it would be silly to expect every detail at a 2-hour event.
Also, I hate motion gaming. I'm hoping Microsoft doesn't emphasize Kinect too much, but that's wishful thinking.Last edited by Ixion; 02-26-2013 at 04:30.

Let's hope they have more than another Halo and Forza sequel.
Couldn't even finish Halo 4 it was that lacklustre.

Use more dynamic and personable presenters. Cut out the crap, totally unfunny puns and show something that makes you think "ooo...I can't do that with my current architecture" and I think you have a good unveil.
The Sony unveil was lacklustre, wordy and 9/10ths boring. However it doesn't say anything bad about the PS4, just more about the presentation itself and what they chose to show. I'm confident the PS4 will actually be an impressive console, just miffed I saw very little that showed that in the unveil. Looks like the attending media largely felt the same.
With the MS presentation I have much larger concerns. I'm sure they'll do a great job of presenting it but I'm very concerned that gaming on the 360's successor will almost be secondary to what else the box will do. I can't help also feel that they are really going hard at the casual market which frankly scares the bejesus out of me. Small, cheap to make, gimmicky Kinect games rolled out by the dozen, over hardcore games for the likes of us. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong, but I'm not betting on it.

did Sony show hardware?
http://www.computerandvideogames.comLast week Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that used games will function on PlayStation 4, but did not clarify whether players would have 'original owner rights' to second hand games, or need to pay for online passes to access the content.
Pushed on the issue, Sony's Denny would only acknowledge that the firm would do what it sees as "the right thing" by both consumers and the development community.
"It's not something that I feel I have any further announcement or comment to make on, other than to acknowledge with you that it's a massively important issue and of course we are going to do the right thing," he said.
New IP's like.... The Knack or updated games like Killzone and InFamous. right. got you.
