What kind of show were some of you expecting? It seems that you guys expected to be entertained vs informed about the PS4. It's a product unveiling. It's not a concert.

Gotta say ^ this is what I took away from it. They weren' there to show us all their newest games, or wow us with a pretty shell casing. They were there to announce the platform, and to tell the investors, gaming journalists, and gamers how they were going to address the mistakes they made last gen and what kind of innovation we can expect going forward.
But hey...that's just me <shrugs>

I think some people are holding an unfair candle to this, simply because it's Sony. That's it.
Because they didn't show everything, and made it look like a 'My Sweet 16' birthday party and parading the PS4 on a horse-drawn carriage; then they "haven't set the bar high".
Conversely, if they did; it'd be that they showed too much or that it was "underwhelming" or whatever.
And this is just the beginning of all that shit.

Yep and that's what it did. It didn't have all the bells and whistles but it got the point across and people were excited. Could you really ask for much more as a company. I don't see how MS could knock it out of the park compared to this unless they just threw everything they had out at their announcement. Not to mention there are still rumors floating around about the PS4. So basically with E3, it is reveal part 2. I think this works better than the usual that's our cards take it or leave it approach. People are hyped twice. I don't see how this is a bad thing.
