The original list of 53 developers was released shortly after console's official announcement and included big names such as Namco Bandai, Bethesda, Rockstar, Disney and numerous others.
A spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has told Joystiq the initial list was wrong. A number of high-profile studios have been removed, including Mojang, Rovio, Criterion Games, City Interactive and Frozenbyte.However, new studios have also been added to the roster, most notably Deep Silver, Ninja Theory, IO Interactive, Codemasters, 2K Games, Sumo Digital, Bohemia Interactive, and CD Projekt, which confirmed The Witcher 3 is coming to the PS4.
Many of the studios removed from the original list, such as Mojang, 17-Bit and Vlambeer, haven't outright ruled out supporting Sony's next console, and have simply stated they either have nothing currently in development for the console, or haven't decided on anything yet.
There is a possibility that some supporting studios may have wanted their names removed to prevent their projects being announced informally or prematurely.

All that is, is a list of developers currently working on a game for the PS4. This doesn't mean that other developers are not making games for the PS4, this is basically developers saying it's okay to put us up on the board to show people who is developing for the PS4. I wouldn't look to deep in this, I am sure there are many other developers starting projects for the PS4.

well if a game is mid-production then by definition the studio making that game should be on the list.

true... But if cut and the game is in production, can they jump to the Xbox720 mid production and make it their, that means reprogramming the game to the new system and that cost's a lot of money

If a studio wants to keep it a secret or for them to reveal their own surprise (like at E3 for example) then they wouldn't be on that list. The last thing a developer needs is for a gaming audience to get carried away thinking they are going to make this or that game and once they reveal their game, everyone gets disappointed. There are many reasons why some of the developers are not on there. It has nothing to do with them switching platforms or anything. damn, I think some people are getting really paranoid. lol

So Ubisoft isn't on there even though we know they are making watchdogs for the PS4, Bungie isn't on there as well but we know they are bringing Destiny to the PS4. Like I said, don't look into that list at all, infact, it's obiously a bunk list because there are studios supporting PS4 with absolute fact but they aren't on that list. meh

Prepare for meltdowns if these next gen console rumors are true. Phase 1: Denial. Phase 2: Mask a lie under "opinion" vs a fact. Phase 3: Bring up the PS3/360 era when it has nothing to do with the subject. Phase 4: Say that the power gap doesn't matter but constantly defend the weaker specs.
