Well, as we heard that we cannot redownload any PS3 downloadable games, themes, and etc over the PS4. I personally right now have 2 PS3 systems. One is the old 60GB model and other is slim model 160. I use both of them because I do have lots of PS1 and PS2 games were when I play and record. I use my 60GB via component cable and the slim one via HDMI cable. I might take out the slim one when I get my PS4. Because it can't play PS2 games. How about you guys?

Probably not. I'll be too busy playing PS4 games that I won't have time for PS3.
Might as well trade it in and get credit for it.

Why would you get rid of it? Just seems stupid to me. I still have my PS1 and PS2, hell I even have my old MegaDrive kicking about somewhere. I will never sell any of my consoles.

Yes. I plan on keeping my PS3. I will still come back and play it when I have a PS4. I regret selling my PS2 as I miss playing Gran Turismo 3 and 4.

Yup, i'll hold on to my PS3 for sure and still play it for years to come. This console is one that will age well just because we've reached a bit of a ceiling on what these consoles can do. I think PS3 games will still look and play great many years from now.
Plus, i always hold on to most of my consoles. I've got a practically brand new PS1, SNES, N64, and original Xbox packed away that i take out from time to time to relive some nostalgia.

Depending on how much the PS4 launch price is, coupled with how much disposable money saved I have at the time of launch.
I see value in keeping the PS3 as a second/third (laptop has a BD drive) BluRay player. Not to mention player of PSN games and a console to tide over visiting nieces and nephews.
Though there's always the 360 for that too.

I won't sell it nor games. That is a food choice friend.
@coolguyyes i will be keeping both my ps3 when i get the ps four. Good choice
@UpdatorI will be keeping mine. I'm sure I will still be playing ps3 games on it from time to time in a few years. Me too as I do with PS1 and PS2. I still play some games.
@MjWNope. The playstation spot under the TV has place only for one Sony console. Will get rid of it when the PS4 moves in. I hope you will not miss it after.

Most likely going to sell it soon im not using it alot recently basically just for netflix. Im guessing im handing it over after The Last of Us gets released, but im starting to have my doubts about that after seeing the recent horror part trailers in that game. Dont really dig the idea it will have zombies, and on top of that make throat sounds like the woman from Ju-On/The Grudge. Kingdom Hearts collection and that game is really the only games i look forward to at this point, and getting Ni No Kuni.
I dont have much space to have more than 2 systems at max aswell, i have a Wii aswell that i barely use also. Id prefer to have a wii and a ps3/ps4 combo if im gonna have 2 consoles at home. Also i dont like to have a bunch a systems around id pick out of the box maybe once a year and otherwise collect dust.
The BC/PSN lacking PS4 might be a dealbreaker for me so im not sure yet if i will get it at launch right now im presuming i will pick it up around 1 year in its lifetime judging by the recent presentation, none of the games really said me anything besides a potentially good new Capcom/Dragons Dogma game. The Killzone series have never interested me, theres dozens of shooters like it on PC. I prob need the E3 to judge the console properly before i warrant a purchase.
Right now im unsatisfied that it wont atleast carry the PSN games over from a PSN thats been pretty much broken during this generation, with EU/US store difference & hacking and a new garbage store browser. I just feel sorry for the people who bought alot of their games digitally like "Cars/FIFA13", for almost 2x the price at other internet sites just to "rent" them for a year or so really, thats just not acceptable if it had been me. Thankfully i have rarely bought anything on the store above the price range of games like Stacking/Journey etc. so im not caring for any loss but i still have around 30 psn games that im just gonna let go when i sell it :S. I would have preferred to have them as a backlog though if the machine gets a drought in titles in the first 6-8 months like Vita.
Right now ima focus on my retail games and sell them one by one i guess i still need to complete around 14-16 games and pretty much all of my psn games need completion.
