well, Then it's not Ubisofts fault for milking the same game. It's starting to become the same friggin thing over and over again and you know what? I can blame people like you that like the same thing over and over again. I will not be getting AC 4 just because of the fact the story isn't pushing forwards, it's just them trying to keep it within the same exact timefram. LAME! period

You say the desmond portion is the worse part? did you consider the fact that there is no action in those areas, not really anyway and the story isn't really picking up in that present day timeframe anyway. I bet you that if there was action as well within that part it would be just as good because after all it's in his blood which was stated, yet they don't seem to be moving forward. meh

Ubisoft has confirmed that the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series will be called Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The news comes in the form of the game’s first official art, which you can check out below:

Today’s announcement confirms the title initially revealed by leaked marketing material this week and also expands upon Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot’s comments earlier this month that the newest Assassin’s Creed game features a new hero and time period.

While no concrete details are given in the art, it’s immediately clear that the game will involve pirates, just as rumors suggested a few weeks ago.

way too quick for a new game imo, i cant even get excited about it anymore. Would have preferred a announcement of a Nextgen entry in the series. I feel theyre kinda forced to release it quick due to the games current gen engine and the news about PS4s releasedate. CCould end up hurting the final products quality imo and it seems like the general fans of the series see AC3 as somewhat of a dissapointment in general from what ive been reading compared to the other 3 solid games

Pirate-themed Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has been officially confirmed by publisher Ubisoft, and will have 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay on PlayStation 3.

Packshot artwork shows that the game will at least be released for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360.

The imagery confirms its rumoured pirate setting, while a sticker on the PS3 version reveals the exclusive hour of gameplay - the same deal offered with Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Yesterday, numerous leaks hinted at the game's existence and offered up a few extra details - that the game is set in 1715 and stars a pirate assassin named Edward Kenway - father of Haytham and grandfather of Connor from AC3.

Eurogamer will be able to reveal full details of the game on Monday at 5pm UK time.

Hopefully this is also on PS4... we will find out Monday

I'm ready to see a pirate version of AC. I know the series is a bit dry with one coming out so often but I still enjoy playing them. I never was able to play AC3 but it is still on my to-do list.

Firstly i just wanna say i love the Franchise, played all the games, have yet to complete 3, Liberation and the DS titles, but i dont think ill bother with the DS ones coz.. ya know, their shit and dont count, contradictory i know but there ya have it, im just taking a hammer to my thread and i havnt even gotten to the point yet.

The way this has been handled is just disapointing. I remember the big build up for 3's announcement, there was a timer and when it ticked down it was "BOOM THIS IS YOUR NEW GAME, BITCHES!!"

This one though, this is just "Oh whoops we informationed everywhere"

No big flashy announcment or anything, we know the setting, the protagonist, we have even seen a map and box art.

Im not realy fussed about it at this very moment, before now they have been so proud of their work that they wanted to get everyone excited about it, it doesnt seem the case with this one. its just like... "Heres the next one if ya want it"

What are your thoughts on this?

The naval mission's were the greatest thing In AC3, and this will be so awesome

One thing I really want, US freedom from the get go. None of these walls preventing from go anywhere

I'm still yet to play III... but this just feels too soon.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad that they aren't dicking around with Connor side games like Brotherhood and Revelations, but damn... do you really need to have annual releases?

Every 2 years would feel a bit better but yearly games don't bode well with me

I'll take it in whatever form I have to! I was in the top 1% for ships destroyed in the naval part of the game. I guess most didn't bother with it at all lol.

I think the fact that they've announced this fairly soon, makes me think that it's current gen PS3/X360. At best, it might be HDx2-ified for PS4/NextBox as cross platform.
