Santa Monica’s latest video game, God of War: Ascension, has gone gold.God of War: Ascension is the next installment in the critically acclaimed and high-selling Sony exclusive franchise, God of War. The game is now heading towards production for it’s March 12th release date. The picture of the printed and finalized disk came from Santa Monica’s own, Todd Pappy, the game director behind Ascension.

Until last night I have done everything in my power to not read/watch anything about this new GoW. But last night I was watching hockey and the GoW live action commercial hit the screen....OMFG. I had chills. Ellie Goulding remix + that video??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?

I just finished the demo and wow....that was not exciting to me. What's with the weird AC-esque climbing junk? And is it just me or is it incredibly easy to get high combos with a small amount of enemies? It's weird how accelerated all the animations are as well. Can't say I like the feel of this game and won't be buying.

Yeah, I felt the same way. It just seems like another God of War game, which is not a bad thing by any means. But I don't know if I want to spend $60 on it.

I doubt it. It looks like it will be a similar situation to when GOW 2 came out on the PS2 before the PS3 was released.

The demo was insane! I love it. So much for people crying about how because of the MP the SP suffered. That was amazing The scale is very similar to GOW 3. Can't wait!
