Forum Icon Request (Community Opinions forum)

Greetings Design Squad,

We need an updated icon for the PS4 Discussion forum, the PS4 Games forum, as well as an icon for the Community Opinions forum. They need to have the same color as the existing forum icons, so there should be a light blue version and a grey version of each icon.

For the PS4 icon, please use the official PS4 logo that has been shown, since we don't know what the actual hardware looks like yet.

For PS4 Games, please use the DualShock 4 controller.

For Community Opinions, knock yourself out.

Each individual icon entry will net you 5,000 SP. The chosen icons will net you 15,000 SP instead.

FYI: We already have icons from THUGGEDOUT for the Announcements, Contests, Subscriber, and Community Reviews forum. They just haven't been added yet.

We have chosen winning icons for the PS4 Discussion and PS4 Games forums. So now we only need an icon for the 'Community Opinions' forum. Again, all entries will net you 5,000 sp and the winning icon will net you 15,000 SP.

With the icon for PS4 Games, you can use the PS3 Games icon and cut out a rectangle in the middle where the touchscreen would be.

PS4 Discussion, like Ixion said, you can update it with the official font.

It seems I need to up the ante for this, since no one has posted yet, so I'll give 3,000 SP for each entry and 10,000 SP for each winning entry. So you could net 30,000 SP for three winning icons.

Since I have no idea how you make an icon I based mine on the already existing one



For the dualshock logo, wont it be indistinguishable from the dualshock 3 logo when you are dealing with such small sizes?

That's why I recommend cutting out a rectangle in the middle of the controller. It's the most noticeable change to the Dualshock design.

Also, try and use the same shade of blue and gray as the other icons.

I updated my dualshock 4. Cropping out everything and making the background transparent will require too much cutting and its 12am and I have to study for an exam so f it

I'd try and make the PS4 icon the same size as the Dualshock 4, if you can. You can save room by getting rid of the PS brand logo.

Not bad, but those icons are definitely rough around the edges. You should see if you can polish them up a bit.

Also, all of our icons have that shiny effect to them. It would be cool if you guys could implement that effect somehow, in order to be consistent.

Will do. I've been having a bit of difficulty trying to get the shine effect but will keep trying and post another attempt either tonight or tomorrow morning depending on how i get on.
