Some of the 8GB ram will be reserved for the OS. it will come down to which company can create the smallest footprint for there OS.

Please don't fall again in the same hole. @Mynd,

It's likely that the PS4 memory will give the vast majority of its memory to developers. The OS was stated to be at 512MB, and it's not like they can simply 'grab' more compute resources to do more OS stuff at this point.

Therefore it is likely that upwards of 7GB is available for developer use.

Without a doubt Durango\Xbox 720 will have a far more advanced OS with a greater feature set.

I'll make a prediction right now (and I don't mind being wrong on this.) If the Durango isn't obviously stronger than the PS4 and is shown to be equal or a little less powerful -- mynd will find a way to give it the advantage.

Because i love you guys..i enjoyed my vacation from the forum. Went to the beach and met a lovely mermaid name Rita she will blow your mind. We both held hands went to the bottom of the ocean and watch the sunrise together..It was a beautiful thing.
