For anyone who was looking for a nice price on a Vita I found somewhere selling them cheap ... It's pre-owned but you won't find a price like this anywhere

I'd never get a console used unless I could see what condition it was in myself. My Wii is pretty much the only console I've ever bought used and the reason was because it was a first gen Wii that plays GCN games. So yeah, even at that price, I'd just wait for a good deal to get it new or buy from a store where you can actually see the condition it's in.

I never buy used disc-based systems. Used NES, Genesis, N64, etc... That would be fine, because they tend to hold up better, but GameCube, PS1, PS2, Saturn, Dreamcast... I wouldn't touch them.

If you take care of your stuff, they last a long time. I would never buy discs that were ruined by some careless previous owner, though.

I take good care of my stuff, but I can't guarantee someone else would. Also, CD based systems don't last as long as cartridge based ones. This is just a plain fact. It's a risk buying a used disc based system. Too big of a risk. Even "refurbished" ones may be fixed just enough to work for the demo, and fail after a week.
