Some of you are already aware, but here's a video showing it. This is why I will not support EA in any way, not until they begin treating their customers with some reasonable respect. I consider this stuff a violation of my consumer rights. I will not support, and I don't think any of you should either. This business practice is bullshit and it's hurting the industry.

It never ceases to amaze me how much publishers underestimate the popularity of their game and never provide enough servers and bandwidth just so they can save a few bucks.

Yeah, I won't be buying this game. Ever. There's just no need for it to be forced online only.

I haven't read up on this game yet but I was very much interested in buying it. But you actually have to have an Internet connection to play it? That blows if true.
Other opinions are available.

A constant internet connection, and everything is saved server-side. Their servers are under load which presents a que for players, and if you disconnect you may even lose progress you did recently.
It's a shame as I was really interested in this game. I wanted it, maybe even prepared to pay for it on release. But I don't appreciate DRM, much less a system this painfully intrusive. I want to be treated as a customer, not a potential pirate. EA can go fuck themselves.-No Feeble Cheering-

It's why I skipped Diablo III and Starcraft II. I'm not a great RTS'er, but I loved playing the first Starcraft for hours by myself with bots. The idea of being considered a "guest" in my own game is disgusting. Totally agree with Rapture, I want to be treated as a customer, not a potential pirate.
Shame, because I might've wanted this game down the road.Community Content Manager--->Community Reviews & Opinions

All the online only stuff is dumb. However, the other reason I wont be buying this game is because of the whole city size limit and the regions. I was not aware of that until I watch GiantBomb's Quicklook of the game. You have a pre-set space in which you can build your city in the region, and honestly it's not that big. Each region has a certain number of spaces to build cities, even though there is a ton of land surrounding the city boxes. I remember building giant cities in the old Simcity games or even CitiesXL games that took up the entire map, why they would limit your city size to a small box is beyond me and has made me decide not to get it, along with the always online stuff as well of course.

I'm supporting EA by purchasing the Mass Effect 3 DLC. Forgive me for my misdeeds.
