battlefield 3 will prob be the last game i ever buy from EA, i think the last game i bought before that was FIFA 64 2nd hand though lol. I really dont like the mini transactions in everygame thing a bit. And even playing BF3 on the pc has been a chore in the 1 year its been around. Tons of problems bizarre errors, crashes you name it its all in there too bad though cause the game is the most fun multiplayer ive played since Mohaa/BF1942

I'll stick with my copy of Simcity on SNES. It's still my favorite Simcity release anyway.
Shut up and play games

It's a shame they took it down this road. I used to love SimCity. Knowing it's always online cuts the chances of getting this to zilch... Not after the pain I went through with Diablo III

03-06-2013 #31It all makes sense now.. After all, the machine is hyped as "The next water cooler" and the fans of this water cooler just love to talk about bottom lines, publishers profit margins and stock prices. The world has become one giant office and I must be the guy they're all saying needs to grow up because I still like having fun.

Companies like EA make it an easy decision to pirate things.

If only Maxis could have found another publisher! (surprised anything Simcity is actually in this forum though pretty sure it's the shity EA thing) I was hoping this wasn't gonna be this locked into the online, bad enough half of us have shity internet connection to fight with now it's confirmed the servers can't even handle everyone once they're on. I'm still getting it though.
Seriously what did they think, the die hard SimCity community all died off or real lost interest, or do they know our disdain towards them? Friggin leav it to EA to eF up the a reboot of a longtime loved franchise that been under them since the late 80s. Forcing a game online when it's not remotely necessary!

I'm in the same boat D3seeker. Even though I've already been burned by Ubisoft with Anno 2070 being the last game I purchased from them because of the always online problem, I'm going to see how EA are handling it but just like Anno 2070, I'm a HUGE Sim City fan and from what all people have said about the game they love it, but like Total Biscuit has said (and I watched his original press release review of some 90+ minutes) that the problems with queues is apparent. It'll get sorted out eventually but if they burn me like Ubisoft did then this will be the last EA product I'll ever purchase.

I'll wait to see what they do with the next one, I kind of think this is going to be a bare bones SimCity so I'm not that excited about it. It looks like they are peddling backwards with this game.

Da fuq? Why on earth is anyone even bothering with sim city?
Welcome to 1993.
It concerns me more that gaming has had to go retro to get anywhere.

Ea and activision. In my mind they're black listed. So every time anyone asks for my opinion regarding their games, I advice extreme caution. The only exception i make is for Starcraft, since I only play online anyways.

Just give it 2 years and they'll end up saying where going to shut it down because only 1% play it (lucky bas****) while 99% tried and failed to play it example "Ian from Florida bought it on launch and has missed school and has been sat at his desk waiting for that different screen to show since"
Poor Ian
