how did you decide what class you were going to try to be?

I've been lucky enough to play the dust beta thru a few resets so i had time to figure out what class i would play. part of the process was realizing that i have bad reaction time. this is how i ended up as a heavy.

how did you figure out what path to take ? have you even found your path? are you regreting your choices?

I suck at FPS games and work better behind the scenes. I liked the idea of playing as the games "healer" class and being a battery for my team. I also saw an interview with CCP where they said that Logis would be better able to spec into certain kinds of orbital support later on. When Chromosome hit and they added triage and guardian WP rewards, my descision was set. I also considered heavy at one point, but stayed true to my course.

similar to ghostie im not the "best" at FPS games, if i go head to head i'll more often get killed. i prefer instead to play a more tactical game. in Dust that role is best suited to the Assault class, though i originally tried it out with the Scout class.

My Assault class is now capable of limited logistical support. whilst maintaining a high offence and defence fitting - i like to call the class "spec ops" after the Resistance classes as these are the roles i gravitate toward:

Resistance 2 - Spec-ops
Killzone 2 - Tactical
Borderlands - Siren
Mass Effect 3 - Vanguard
Battlefield Bad Company - Specialist

you get the picture, good thing about Dust is that the roles are very customizable, and if my proclivity were for better compromises i could easily switch to another class if need be

i just tried a little bit of all to see which was more suiting. I would use the AR w/ assault but i would only get like 6 kills a match or something. Then one day you talked about the scout shotgun combo so i gave it a try. And now i can do 20+ kills on a good match.
The nova knives are my idea though, just something funny about killing someone with the weakest weapon in the game, its almost insulting towards the receiving enemy
