Hopefully the upcoming games for japan will boost sales more or at least keep them steady at that number. Japan has Tales of Hearts R & Soul Sacifice coming out today and then DoA5+ and some other jap games bit later on.

Sales for the PS Vita ended up increasing about six-fold, then. It's higher than the previously thought 44,000.

Depending on Soul Sacrifice's reception, which was released this week, the Vita should maintain a healthy enough number when sales are releasd next Wednesday. i wonder how long it can genuinely keep this up

I think it was a combination of both the PC and games last week actually, nearly everyone in Japan has no problem buying an iPad, it comes down mainly to the content and features.

They needed that price cut since a new Pokemon is coming soon to japan for 3ds I think PS4 will help sell more vitas as well

I did a double take when I saw the Vita numbers. great to see that it´s picking up speed.
How much was the price drop? and will Europe be getting a similar price cut?
I wouldn´t mind getting one for an affordable price.

Think they said no price cut elsewhere, apparently this cut has just brought it down to how much it goes for outside of Japan. The price is marginally higher than whatever the 3DSXL goes for over there
