Should I get a PS3 or wait for the PS4?

My PS3 broke so i was looking into getting the new slim. I've heard that the PS4 will come out by late 2013. So do i buy the new slim for $300 or wait for the ps4 to be released? Any idea on the PS4 price? I do plan on getting a PS4 at launch. Should I get a PS3 or wait for the PS4?

I'm just looking for opinions.

I do have a N64 and PS Vita to hold me over.

No info on the PS4 price probably until June...I would pick up a slim for now because we KNOW ps4 isn't BC

It depends if you have any PS3 games that you think you will want to play again because if you wait for the PS4 which isn't backwards compatible you won't be able to play any PS3 games.

It depends how many ps3 games you have.if you dont wanna buy new buy a used ps3 from Craig's list or backpage.

There isn't enough information on PS4 for a definitive answer since there are still some tiny questions left about how fast the PS3 library can get on PS4 once it launches and during its first part of that console year. Best thing to do is keep yourself posted on the latest PS4 news until after E3 (June 11-13).

If you can't wait that long and you have plenty of PS3 games you wanna play again, just get a PS3 now (as in, this year since it's likely to drop in price again). It's probably going to be way cheaper than launch PS4 and it's not likely that most of PS3's library will be available on PS4 for a good while. PS3's library is also going to stay a million times better than PS4's for a good while, too.

It depends on how much gaming you wanted to still do on the ps3. The ps3 will likely receive a price cut at e3. I held off for over 6 months to get my $199 slim lol.

The Last Of Us, God of War Ascension, Beyond: Two Souls...Those games alone will be worth picking up a PS3 for.

For PS4 to come out. We have long time my friend. PS4 will come around November so get a PS3 and play those great games on it. I wouldn't wait for PS4.

Depends if there's any games you want for PS3 that you haven't yet played or upcoming since the PS4 won't play PS3 games, and you'll most likely want to play The Last Of Us at least, so yeah I'd say get another PS3.

The only reason I would rather go for the PS3 right now instead of waiting for the PS4 is because the games are plenty out there. You aren't going to find a great deal of games in the beginning on the PS4 and the games won't be a huge jump right away (other than graphics).

KZ: SF looks amazing but is it really that different? Not so far. You're not going to see the best PS4 games right away. i.e. true next-gen games.

Think about the current PS3 games you haven't played, but really want to. If you feel that it's worth it enough to get a PS3 now then go for it. If not... you're gonna be waiting a while for PS4.
