I'd like to know what was so great about dreamcast? Its lifecycle ended pretty early.

Sega not having third part support killed the Dreamcast. May be an unpopular view around these ways but i thought the DC was better than the PS2

There are a number of reasons, including lack of DVD support.
Although the Sega Dreamcast had some great exclusives, the PlayStation 2 simply offered more which is why it will always be held in higher regard.May be an unpopular view around these ways but i thought the DC was better than the PS2
This doesn't have anything to do with the PS4 though.Last edited by Blacksite; 03-13-2013 at 22:49.

I loved the DC too and have an import one still up and running at my house. But you can't say it's better based on what could have been. End of the day PS2 has a catalogue of games unmatched

Yeah but Dreamcast didn't need a mod chip, that absolutely destroyed the platform because piracy was WAY to easy.
As for the Dreamcast, it is remembered fondly but it was a fairly sloppy console. The machine was built fairly flimsy, most of the games don't play that great any more.
The technology in it was quiet nice in terms of efficiency but it would not have stood up against that generation if it had survived.
